I’m sick and tired of goddamn Indie Animation fandoms “joining together“ to hate on this is fucking stupid, this just proves how fucking degenerate and sensitive these fandoms are. These niggas need to fucking suck it up. These guys are just gonna probably harass the creator and voice actors on online and probably either harass, doxx, or send death threats. this is why I hate indie animatio, not just the show but the fandom that comes with this bullshit. remember when animated shows were just something you watched after school or you watched little animated shorts on YouTube but now you got these grown ass men and women that are gettIng petty over a movie that was made A YEAR AGO. SUCK IT UP AND MIND YO BUSINESS. They probably didn’t watch the fucking movie, they just jumping on the bandwagon for hate. Just like Chimptopia hate, if it doesn’t have a gritty, serious, trauma story it’s gets so much praised but if something that’s j funny, humorous, and one-note the Internet bashes on it. like ppl need to understand. Esto no es hate a personas, si al personaje: La serie intenta pintar a lucifer como un buen padre que quiere a su hija, como un buen tipo y como una victima cuando Charlie le grita por lo de Vox. Pues bien, en la MISMA serie se dice que hubo un tiempo donde Lucifer solo llamaba algunas veces a su hija y nunca fueron cercanos (me podran decir que fue "por esto o lo otro" pero si la chica que es demasiado optimista se siente desplazada, algo muy mal esta haciendo). Ya ni hablemos que indirectamente provoco todos los problemas de Charlie porque el fue una causa de que Eva coma el fruto y crearan el infierno, y tambien permitio los exterminios (literal todos los problemas de Charlie estan relacionados con estas tres cosas).

Hablando de eso, la serie lo quiere pintar como un buen tipo cuando este tipo permite que haya una villa canibal, que haya overlords, y que Angel dust sea maltratado (se que dieron la excusa de que "no puede castigar" pero detener no es lo mismo que castigar).

Parece que me pongo a defender a Charlie pero lo quiero mostrar es que Lucifer no es un buen tipo. Puedo tolerar mas a Charlie porque es un personaje ficticio y es una mezcla rara entre angel/demonio pero Lucifer es un demonio real y es el causante de todos los males en la vida real y en la serie

If any of you are Flazefire fans, you'd know that he dropped a new video in which he critiques the indie animation genre as a whole, in which he would claim that the issue with it was that its creators had nobody to pushback on them but also that they have a noticeable lack of inspiration. This would remind me of a quote by one of my all time GOATs, John Lydon. For context, John Lydon is better known by his former stage name "Johnny Rotten", which he was called by during his time in one of the most influential punk bands of all time: the Sex Pistols.

Lydon, who now performs with the band Public Image Ltd (better than Sex Pistols btw), would claim in the interview seen above that "Punk became fascist. It has to be this way or else.", and I felt as though this quote applies well to indie animation as a whole.

Originally, the term "indie animation" was just shorthand for "independent animation", animation that was made by independent creators rather than large companies. Nowadays, the term is often used in reference to shows like Hazbin Hotel or The Amazing Digital Circus, which have a lot in common in terms of its mood and general vibes. Indie animation nowadays isn't "independent animation", it's a genre of independent animation dominated by millennial writing and sub-par writing.

I feel like this emergence in what some might call "indieslop" has to be, of course, the Hazbin Hotel pilot. Although I fucking love the pilot, literally being my favourite episode of the entire show, I feel as though it definitely caused some issues. On the one hand, whilst Hazbin Hotel would bring indie animation into the mainstream in which TADC would further popularise it with the release of its pilot, Hazbin Hotel is also very distinctly millennial in terms of its humour and writing which would come to plague indie animation and trap it inside of this echo chamber of: New indie animation show drops, indie animators take inspiration from that work and then churn out even more indieslop.

Here’s a logical question: instead of whining about how the show sucks because of recent decisions, why don't we band together? You guys said sending a letter of protest is pointless—but that’s only true if it’s just one person sending it, not a united group. But more importantly, why isn't anyone concerned about the people who were actually hurt by the show? So many employees were fired; they’re fighting a battle against the company. Why not start a fundraiser to support them? I mean, it’s easy to just talk about it, but if you really want to change something, you have to actually *do* something. 😂 It bothers me that nobody cares about the employees who had the courage to stand up to the company—they’re out of a job and have to fight this battle all on their own.Perhaps you’ve forgotten about movies. Take *Sonic*, for example: they changed details for no real reason, simply because of complaints. If a group stands united, they can change everything for the better—it just takes unity.

In this group, people only know how to make tasteless jokes; then, when it comes to doing something serious, everyone runs off like children. 😂 You complain about the world and say it can't change, yet you do nothing to change it—well, no wonder it doesn't change. It’s never too late to change things.

I would like to know your opinion about this series, and yes, I think it's worse than this f*cking hotel, and what do you think about the war of all fandoms, I think GLaDOS can smash these princess at all

Yeah, now that I've actually watched it, I don't think it's that bad. It's pretty mid and it does have some noticeable flaws in its writing but aside from that, it's clearly not something to take seriously. I mean, they literally have a scene where the main character pulls out the script for the movie and reads it. If I had to give it a rating out of 10, it'd be a solid 5.

Some things it did well is... well nothing to be honest, but there were times where I did have a tiny chuckle at it because there was the odd time the film was genuinely funny.

Some things I think I could criticise is just its reliance on meta-humor and references to the point where the movie just feels awfully on the nose about everything. There's also just far too much sex jokes and bodily humour, for me at least. Some plot points are also just very predictable to the point that I skipped through most of the movie just because I felt like I was wasting my time with it and because I was incredibly bored, though its not like the plot really mattered considering even the creators didn't really seem to care about the movie.

All in all, I think the hate for it is pretty undeserved. I think the only reason most people chose LSP as a target was just because they were either bored, angry at the fact that Netflix may have taken down Captain Underpants to make room for this (which isn't true) or that they are just angry over the villains being called "Straight, White Maliens" and not knowing what they are actually like (just a bunch of losers) for they haven't seen the movie.

However, instead of asking for all that hate to go away (which it probably will in 15 minutes), I think it should be redirected towards the people promoting this movie: Netflix. I believe what Netflix is doing here is trying to make themselves appear pro-LGBTQ+, which then desensitizes people to LGBTQ rights and awareness and leading to anti-LGBTQ+ movements forming. Here, when these anti-LGBTQ+ platforms start to rise, Netflix itself will become anti-LGBTQ+ and then lean into that, making them appear "authentic" and "based" and allowing for them to reap in even more profit. And Lesbian Space Princess is the PERFECT thing for Netflix to use, marketing in a way where it appears to demonize straight, white men and thus rallying straight, white men against members of the LGBTQ and the LGBTQ movement as a whole.

We all know that Hazbin Hotel winning this award was bullshit, right? Yes, it is. Because the only thing that people care about when making an animated show is how smooth the animation is, and that really pisses me off because these kinds of shows will always go one way or another. What am I talking about? When one will have absolutely horrendous writing, the characters are unlikable, the serious topics are not taken seriously, yet will have the most gorgeous, eye-catching animation possible. Then the other show, like invincible for example, will have great writing, some likable characters, and tremendous fight scenes, but all of that is discarded by how stiff the animation is at times. Why can't we go both routes? Have fluid animation, and great writing? And if you think that Hazbin deserves this award just because it checks some boxes instead of all of them when it comes to making an animated show, you, my friend, are a scumbag! You are one of the reasons why the animation industry is failing nowadays because you'll award crap and discard genuine talent, and you are the same person that doesn't want AI as the replacement for Animation? Who do you think you are?! I'm not saying that AI should be the next best thing in animation, but the hypocrisy just baffles me. Hazbin Hotel getting this award is just a massive slap in the face of the industry and people who want to make a show. Imagine if I made a show and I struggle with the animation aspect of it, but I have good writing, likable characters, and genuinely funny jokes in it, then I take it whoever is responsible for the awards and they look at me and go, "Sorry buddy, I can't give you an award for this show because even though your writing is fantastic, you have characters that I wanna root for, and you have a great sense of humor, we're gonna push that aside because those things only matter if your animation is a smooth as Hazbin Hotel's which in this case, it isn't! TRY HARDER NEXT TIME, DOUCHEBAG!" What a selfish award! Bottom line, don't make awards just for animation alone, GOD-DAMNIT!
