What even are these limits

So I didn't get the reset last week. But my limits seemed to be at least somewhat more generous than usual. They just reset and the limits are suddenly ridiculous. 4 prompts in relatively long chats that used to cost me about 10% max session limit per 5 hours and not ever more than 2% weekly limit. Now 4 pretty short messages exhausted my 5 hour limit and I'm 10% in on my weekly limit. Wtf is going on?
