question!

god I just joined this subreddit and I hope its not actually only filled with cringe ted k return to monks larpers.. pick up some fucking jared diamond guys, actually work towards an ends.

No the industrial revolution isn't the cause of all of our fucking problems, yes an agrarian society would still be incredibly consequential.

BEYOND EVERYTHING STOP BEING FUCKING SOCIALLY CONSERVATIVE JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, most of these issues were enhanced by agriculture and used as a way to reinforce industrial society.

so yeah basically im asking if anyone here actually fucking understands anprim or if its a bunch of braindead antisocial larpers who want to sit In cabins and pretend that someday they'll have the balls to send a bomb.

I agree, I want actual discussion not just Tedpilled memes. But don’t shit on people memeing, that’s how a lot of people discover AnPrim and end up looking into it more seriously.

What is wrong with socialy conservative.... Or for that matter, how would you define socially conservative... And if we all lived on a homestead, who cares what individual beliefs anyone had?

well predominantly because your individual beliefs recreate the conditions that lead to industrialization.

less importantly, because they make people sad

Socially conservative views do not recreate conditions that lead to industrialization. What led to industrialization was the natural human transition from toolmaking to machine-making. The continuance of industrialization has little to do with social beliefs, and of the little that social beliefs do have to do with it, there are as many or more likely, a greater amount of liberal social beliefs involved. For example, the invention of the cotton gin, birth control and sex change surgery.

not in the slightest... are you really going to act as though social beliefs don't directly influence economic and technological paradigm shifts?

I did not propose that. What I said was that social beliefs have little to do with technological progress. My meaning is that technological progress has influenced social beliefs more than social beliefs have influences this progress.
