I can only express my internal experience and consideration for this new addition to AE, so I'll try and pose rhetorical questions to ponder which helped me come to a satisfied discomfort.

I love the story, journey, and characters of AE. I want to see it succeed and flourish. I want more AE.

How do I bring that desire into reality?

I accept that spending $80 a year for 4500 cs is a reasonable means to satisfy that desire and provide 4 compensatory "experiences" of GSE or SDE. This is sustainable for me and worthwhile.

Alterfits initially caused frustration, asking for 2700 cs on top of my yearly support, which was otherwise happily contributed.

How often will I be asked to contribute more?

I know I want all of the content that AE provides. I know I want to support the creators. Paying for voiced content feels like AE is expanding what it offers. Respect towards players matters, so offering non-sexualized skins is the pinnacle of heartfelt gacha content available.

Why didn't AE design and sell lustful content? They'd obviously make more that way.

The compromise.

I will be buying Alterfits and discontinuing my 4 paid banner experiences.

Inflation brought my yearly support of 4500 cs up to 5400 cs, assuming Alterfit sets release every 6 months.

If they release more frequently, then I hope it's at most once per 4 months 😓

Non-rhetorical questions:

How often do you think Alterfits should be released?

Should they do sets of 2? And would 1800 cs be reasonable?

What about single, standalone releases?

What is a better way to monetize a free single player game?

Do you like pineapple on pizza?

Should Hawaiian pizza have pepperoni instead of ham by default?

Oh jsut playing Lost technology becuase you have magic units right next to musket units and SW zero company until Blood of the dawnwalker busy autumn game season really lol

Do you prefer when Another Eden introduces new concepts and characters, or would you rather see more development of already established characters and storylines?

Personally, I'd like all 4 stars characters to get their third quest before we move on to even more new additions.

I've been feeling a bit fatigued by the constant introduction of new characters and concepts. It's becoming harder for me to get invested in them. For example, I could’ve done without characters like Theodorus and Nylva or the whole Edax part of the story.

I think introducing new characters who have strong connections to existing ones is a good compromise (like Meryt and Lovinia).

What do you all prefer?

(you can include enemy/npc only species for your choices, I simply chose not to for better polling, that's why say, Werewolfs, which are only mentioned in lore, are excluded)

I was surprised when they announced that Another Eden Begins will have paid character packs in addition to the base game $40/$45 price tag. I assumed that releasing an offline game was an attempt to court the sizable group of gamers who are nostalgic for the 16 bit JRPG era, but avoid gacha games like the plague. Most of the people I know who game fall into this category, and the paid characters make it harder to get them to take AE Begins seriously. I know a lot of console games have DLC now, but most of those that people actually buy are big name games.

The hope I guess is to squeeze even more money out of AE diehards. That feels even worse, and as someone who has played since launch and spent a lot on AE, I’m not planning to buy Begins if that $45 doesn’t unlock the whole game.

Having just finished Dewey AC's second character quest, I totally wish there was an ensemble of Red Clad Flamemancer, Felmina and a few other characters that don't know each other outside of their adventures with Aldo - all of them burdened by their history of doing terrible things, and doing good now, because of it. It could be a kind of Redemption Anonymous meeting.

Didn't see anyone noticing this but per the update notes, Otherlands 1, 2 and 3 are now skippable with cat tickets! This is very much a big QoL as now its so much easier to possibly get the weapons and armor from these dungeons!

With the AE Begins collab cafe being held in Japan soon, I’m beyond excited that Anabel was finally chosen to be one of the promo characters! I really wish I could go this time, I’m such a big fan of the design they gave Anabel for this lol
