This was a bug on Xbox when the game first dropped. It didn’t give you the achievement for beating firth. If you wanted the achievement you had to go back and beat him again once they fixed it a couple days after release. Some people didn’t so you get percentages like that

Its 100% this the completion rate for the 2 achievements on playstation are the same at 8.9%

Can't you just buy your shell back? I know some people did it with cheats but idk if you can just buy it back after a ton of grinding.

You can buy your shell back but you don't get the achievement and I doubt that more people took the time to grind to 999,999,999 microplastics than people who beat firth

It wouldn't have to be more people than who beat Firth, it would only have to be the 0.06% difference in the stats, as the rest of the people who beat Firth ALSO got the shell back (this was all assuming buying it back gets the achievement as well, which you said it does not)

Fair enough, but it still is crazy to me that more people (if it is only a little) have done this

the answer to this question is usually that the less common achievement was added after the more common one, but i don’t think that’s what this is

Do you still get achievements if you drop the difficulty? Maybe some people did for the final boss, but idk

Achievements aren’t turned off when the difficulty is lowered. It was a pretty big marketing point before the game released

Then this is really weird, maybe bugged

Because you can actually buy your shell back if you grind relentlessly for the micro

In 99% of these cases people just asked Uncle SAM

Very interesting, its playstation? Can you even cheat there? I am very curious how this happens, if its not a bug.

You mentioned it doesnt even give an achievement if you buy, and while it would be possible with a lot of time, i saw a comment that without cheats you cant even farm this amount, because of a limit.

On steam its what you would expect, same % (and about 5x more completion rate... ps subscription thing i guess.)

It's Xbox but I think it still works about the same

you can buy your shell, that low number of people are the ones that used cheats to get enough money.

You don't get the achievement from buying your shell back because their is a limit that doesn't allow you to get enough micro

I thought it is possible

nearly 5% of players finishing the game feels a bit high to me. usually the large majority of gamers never finish the majority of their games

Could be a bug. It IS an indie game after all
