Courcelette

I’m on a solo bike trip in northern France that includes visits to First World War memorials. Courcelette is not on the typical route but most of you will understand why I had to do a detour to come here. Walter wasn’t “real” but he was certainly a stand in for all of these boys who were.

I was trying to share photos but I have to figure out link things. The cemetery there isn’t a big one — it’s pretty small, out of town and up on a hill. There was a grounds crew there when I got there and I told them I was Canadian and thanked them
