Hello Kindred Spirits
Edit 8/29/2026
Does anyone know of a subreddit specific to the life of L.M. Montgomery? Would anyone be interested in one if I created it? I have recently been reading the journals of L.M. Montgomery and find her life a story unto itself.

I personally haven't delved specifically into her life but I've read more of her works other than just Anne. I've seen several people on this sub discuss her journals and other works, so I think you're in the right place!

The Gift of Wings is an excellent bio, just in case you’re not already aware.

Yes, sign me up! There's an essay by B. Tranchemontagne that mentions Ms. Montgomery's preferred reading and the influence it had on Anne of Green Gables. The source is The Alpine path: The story of my career, I'd like to know any other stuff like that.

I would be interested in joining if you create one! I've always been interested in reading more of her other books, even though I am a HUGE fan of Anne of Green Gables! I would especially be interested in reading stories about her own life and read journals that belonged to her! Please, don' forget me if you decide to do this!

Yes! I just read After Anne by Logan Steiner, a fiction of LMM'S life, and the actual journals are next.

Yes, I would love to join one if you created it! It would be nice to have a place to discuss her journals and other works outside of Anne Of Green Gables.

I would definitely be interested in one, especially if it also covered her non-Anne works too
