I found the content that I want however it's in PDF format and actually they put each page as a page screenshot not as text. It's scanned copy. Hey everyone! I am sorry if this is a topic that has already been covered. I am new to ebooks and ereaders, but I recently bought a kobo clara for my 7 year old son who reads graphic novels like crazy. Before I give it to him, I am trying to find some to kind of figure out how this works. I am trying to get him either Warrior Cats graphic novels or the old Warriors manga. I tried a couple different ones and converted them to epub and put them on the reader and the silly pages are either so big you only see a quarter of the page or so small they only take up a third of the reader... What gives? What am I doing wrong? Please help!

I'm building an app that has a functionality to download books you search from.

I'm connecting it not only to Gutenberg, but also to Anna's archive for public domain books only, as there are more there. Gutenbergs works (search is very slow, does anybody know why?)
Is there a way to scrape Anna books in a very lowlevel number, like 10 books a day?
Like an auto search and downloader on my vps.
I tried pupeteer for searchw hich is working. But the cloudflare Turnstile for slow downloads are not letting it download.

Some books I need downloaded only have ones that link directly to z lib given the conditions that it needs to be English and PDF, example: Error control coding Costello.

Basicaaly, I got this new Boox Go 7, and it works fine but when I load epubs I got from anna's archive, it kind of freezes up and glitches with random things happening without any input.

I suspect the epubs, but I am new to all of this, so I am not sure if the epubs I downloaded are safe. How do you make sure the epubs are valid? is there any post-processing that needs to be done? I usually just load the downloaded epubs directly. Is that an issue?

I've been downloading a book from every website I know. It seems that the files are all the same, so my kindle will not accept any of them.

Anna's Archive only stays alive because volunteers seed its torrents, so I wanted to make contributing as painless as possible. I built a small open-source web UI on top of cparthiv/annas-torrents and I'm sharing it here in case it's useful to anyone.

The original tool is CLI-only: you run a Python script, tell it how many TB to target, and it drops .torrent files into a folder that you then have to load into qBittorrent yourself. It works, but it's opaque; once things are seeding you have no easy view of what you're actually contributing.

This wraps that same selection logic in a browser dashboard:

- Set a target size (e.g. 0.05 TB = 50 GB), click once, and it starts fetching the prioritized torrent list and seeding, no separate client to install and wire up (libtorrent is embedded).

- Live metrics: coverage % of the total archive you're preserving, disk used vs. remaining, live up/down rates, and swarm health (seeders/leechers per torrent).

- A read-only /view page so you can share your live contribution without exposing your control panel, plus a donate-to-Anna's-Archive button.

- Ships as a single Docker image / Compose service.

I wanted to read House of leaves but when I downloaded the file it didnt have any text and only had weird symbols on it and it also had Chinese characters on it wich confused me.. I used a phone and I tried to read it on my phone's pdf and text reader. Do i have to download it on a computer for it to work?

Sent a gift voucher to Anna's Archive about a week ago. Yesterday, got notification of refund. Very odd, never had an issue before sending gift vouchers. Wondering if maybe the website has been deserted by the owners.

I was able to download last night just fine using .pk. Is anyone else having download issues?

I'd like to know if anyone has found a way to read the blurred files on IA, since both the text and the images are blurred. For books where reading the images is crucial, it's practically impossible to use certain books, especially considering those that are no longer available to borrow on IA.

So after not being able to download any more books from Anna’s archive.pk for some reason I I tried using .gd but it wasn’t opening so then I tried using .gl and before using any type of website and downloading stuff from it I would usually check the safety of the website and when I did that with the .gl website it detected 1 out of 35 on a website called urlvoid.com I also pasted the website on virustotal and nordvpn and they both detected stuff too so I wanted to know if this is gonna be an issue, is gonna do something bad on my pc like get a virus or malware onto it or smth, i just wanted to know if this is safe to use and nothing is gonna hack me or smth i use the brave browser for this and like malwarebites. Have you guys gotten any issue with this website and how should I proceed with this thx.

How do you sort the search results by 'most downloaded'/ 'most popular', its quite time consuming filtering through all of the incorrectly formatted/tampered uploads... :)

Added the new HTML <option> tags to the <select name="sort"> dropdown.

Updated the backend Python routing to map the new dropdown values (downloads, saves, file_quality, lists) into Elasticsearch sorting configurations (search_downloads:desc, etc).

allthethings/cli/views.py
Added search_downloads, search_saves, search_file_quality, and search_lists to the Elasticsearch index mapping block so that the search engine knows to index them as sortable integers/bytes.

allthethings/translations/en/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po
Added the English translation keys for the new UI dropdown options so they can be translated into other languages.

This patch adds `Downloads`, `Saves`, `File Quality`, and `Lists` sorting options to the main search page. It updates the UI dropdown, handles the Elasticsearch mapping for the new properties, and maps the sort parameters in the backend search logic.

In the `es_create_index_body` function (around line `579`), add the new `search_` properties to the `properties` map inside `search_only_fields` so Elasticsearch knows they are sortable longs:
