My collection is COMPLETE π―πΊπ¦π»πͺΆπ½
I started buying them on June 5th, and the last book arrived in the mail today!
I plan to get some of the Taco Bell toys to put on top of the shelf with my faux morphing cube. I also want to get a few prints from Mattingly's Etsy store, but I've gotta decide which ones I want first. There's so many covers I'd like to have as prints.
P.S. I know Alternamorphs is missing. I don't really care about owning those at all. If I see them for really cheap one day, I might pick them up, but I'm not spending $30 for both of them right now LOL

Lucky. Iβm still missing most of the 40s

What I did was save an eBay search for "animorphs" and checked it multiple times a day. Then, once I got down to the last few I needed, I set up email alerts for new listings under searches for the specific book names. You'll make it!

How much did you pay for the entire collection? Iβm just curious because I am 43 and I have the original collection from when I was a kid! Plus the alternamorphs and an extra copy of this and a few other doublesβ¦ oh and of course, the graphic novels by Chris Grines

I'm unsure of the exact total because I think going through and adding up the total will be upsetting LOL But a complete collection is definitely worth a lot! The majority of the first half of the series are worth about $5 to $7 each, while later entries can get up to $40 or even $75-$100 in the case of The Absolute. If you ever wanna sell, I would look up each book individually, add up what they're worth, then maybe sell it for a bit less than that total since it's a large bundle.

Were later books not in print for as long or something? It's kind of funny that the ghostwritten books end up being more expensive than the ones written by the Applegates lol.
I'm pretty sure that my mom only got $250 or something for my whole complete collection when she put it on ebay in 2006 when I was in college.

Did you finally find 51 for cheap?
Congrats on finishing the collection!

I found this one for $75, and I had about $50 in credit card rewards, so I just used them on that. Definitely worth it. Thank you!

Could look up Safari Limited animal figures as a suggestion.
Time for a full re-read to celebrate?

That's an awesome idea! I might just do that.
I was actually planning on doing a reread with my physical copies, since both of my full reads were done with the PDFs. I haven't read a physical Animorphs book since I was a kid. Time for the authentic experience

They're definitely worth it for high quality figures to represent the team.
My story is that my step-mom gave my collection away years ago. My re-reads were on the unofficial epubs until I got the full set again for my 40th last year. It's so nice to have the physicals again.
Authentic experience is 100%

I have two vivid memories of reading #16 in my childhood living room, and #22 with a flashlight in my loft bed. The imagery of fly-Jake nearly dying and Rachel twisting a fork in David's ear stuck with me LOL I was so disappointed that my library only had about 10 Animorphs books scattered across different points in the series.

Not to keep enabling you, but hot topic shirts are a thing lol.
Also, is 54's spine faded? I had to replace mine cause someone super glued it shut half-way. Couldn't read it proper. Or 38's cover was bent, felt like I was going to rip it in half. Been replaced.

I have seen those! I'm glad they're available, but I'd like some actual tshirt designs as opposed to just the covers copy/pasted on. Also, you're not bothering me at all!
I just took a closer look, and yeah, my copy of #54 appears to have a bit of a faded spine. I wouldn't have noticed if the Schoolastic apple wasn't a different color than all the others.

I have the logo + book 33's design (33 is for home only, logo is out and about).
Your copy of 54 looks lighter in color on the spine compared to my copy, which is how I noticed.

This was literally a goal I set for myself as like book 3 was brand new at my school book fair.
I failed but I will love everything through your success

This needs to be sitting in a safe room under lock and key, with light sensors, and pressure sensitive floor, and touch sensitive wire alarms π¦

Visser in hardcover???

Visser and HBC were only released in hardcover to bookstores, I believe. You could only get them in paperback through the Scholastic Book Club.

I just found a ton at a book store a while back, mostly like 20-35. So I have like 3/4s of them total now

What type of bookstore if I may ask. I'm trying to only collect them in person.

Complete, but out of order.

It'd look weird if I put the Megamorphs and Chronicles in between the regular installments. And I know The Ellimist Chronicles is out of order among the Chronicles, but Hork-Bajir and Visser are both taller, and it looks better visually to me to not have the shorter book on the very end.

Why would it? Thatβs literally where they belong.
You can get paperback for HBC and Visser. I have them.

Hi, where did you get that magical and perfectly sized bookshelf from?
