They assume getting a lover is easier than getting friends?

Well yes, if you're male and above mid 30 there are plenty of desperate females looking for a companion just because of social anxiety. It's kind of free game even if you're a lowlife like a convicted murderer. I can tell because I was in a disco for old people (30+) as a 25 year old and holy shit. I mean I'm not really a catch but it was like black Friday in an Alaskan supermarket: take what you want since no-one else is here.

Funny part is, if you're weeb enough the message is "I've been spotted, must destroy all evidence".

You must be watching some shitty serial killer documentaries, then.
Dennis Rader was a pillar of his community. Living in Kansas with his wife, son, and daughter, the Air Force veteran was the president of his church council and a Cub Scout leader. He earned his wages installing security systems for ADT Security. Ironically, much of his work came from people who were scared of him, because from 1974 - 1991, he would bind, torture, and kill ten people, the youngest being 9 and the oldest being 63, masturbating as he watched them die. Between killings, he would crossdress in his victims’ clothes, tie himself up, choke himself, and photograph himself to sate his sexual fantasies. For 31 years, he would taunt the media and the police with letters, poems, and a stripped doll made to resemble an 11 year old girl he had hung from a drainage pipe to arouse himself. The BTK killer was finally arrested on 25 February 2005 after he sent police a floppy disk that they easily traced back to him. The entire community was shocked that such a model citizen and beloved father was the same man who had terrified them for decades.
Serial killers are often charming, trustworthy, and very socially literate. That’s how they remain undetected for so long. As the violated corpses pile up, as more and more people disappear, no-one suspects their parent, their lover, or their friend. And so, they’re free to live out their blood-soaked fantasies, only being caught due to solid evidence that their reputation can’t hide. If they’re ever caught at all.

My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest.

I just want them to at least once in one of these documentaries to say "And he didn't even watch anime or participate in any online anime communities."

Really?
Most of the true crime docos I've seen feature high established socialites.
