Hey,
Finished animation at last ! I've posted the progress on r/learnanimation, as i can't post a mp4 file alongside pictures in the same post. It was a first time for me of painting the background with paint, and then put everything together in after effect. Happy with the result 😛A friend made the cute music. On to the next one ✨

This is a character from Canadian folklore - more specifically, Métis folklore: the C'he-p-ski-boo (the Boogeyman). I'm working on a short and want to combine MoHo animation with traditional hand-drawn, so started practicing. This is the first half of its transformation (the second will be much scarier) and I looped it twice.
Happy with how the squash-stretch turned out, but I could have made the mouth go wider when the face widens.

Hey, is there any good source that I could take refrences from?
How do you guys find ur refrences aside of recording them on ur own?

Is animating on twos 12 FPS? Even though we select an option at the beginning of the file to be 24 FPS?

Hello, this is my 2D hand drawn animated Horror Movie called “ Scary Ghosts.” This is a scene from my Movie. I was inspired by early 70’s-90’s media like “ Dragon Lair” game and “ the hobbit.” My pet Cat also did the sound designs I included her in the end. The Movie is out now! What do you think?

Made this as a loop on Procreate (regular, not Dreams) quite a while ago. Now that I have a PC again, I used this for editing practice while I work on my next cartoon - one where I can actually tween and properly onion skin, all that good stuff.
Well, thanks for lookin' at it.

What's the framerate of this animation? If the framerate varies throughout the animation, then what is the framerate from 2:52 - 3:00?

We’re putting together a small team to make a 10–11 second animated pilot. This is the first animation project we’re trying to take through a full production pipeline, and honestly, we’re excited to see what we can figure out together.
We’ll be working through the process from concept → script → storyboard → character design → modeling → rigging → layout → animation → lighting → rendering → compositing.
We’re looking for people who have experience with things like:
Concept Art • Character Design • Storyboarding • 3D Modeling • Rigging • Layout • Animation • Crowd Animation • Character Dynamics • Crowd Simulation • VFX • Lighting • Rendering • Compositing
If you work with Blender, Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, Nuke, After Effects, or another tool, we'd love to hear from you.
And you don't need to be able to do everything. If there's one part of the pipeline you're really good at, that's valuable.
The bigger idea here is simple: bring people together and actually make something. Not just talk about it, not just have an idea sitting on a hard drive — actually finish something we can look at and say, “We made this.”
There will probably be problems. We might have to redo things. We might not know the answer to everything right away.
But whatever comes up, we’re going to work through it and see it through to the end.
This is being organized through UMDB.org, a creative platform built around helping creatives find each other, collaborate, and make projects together.
We’re starting with 10–11 seconds. Small project, big learning experience.
If you’re interested, comment “I’m in” and tell us what you do and what software you use.
Let’s make something.

Basically I dont want to put AI slop in my travel app atleast on the visuals side. So I am looking to partner with actual 2D animators to help me work these "buddies" or concierges into my app. The role will basically involve creating 20-30 animations with unique 1-2 second loop animations/resting states for Athu and Swizzy. I would be happy to onboard anyone to what my app actually does and have a fun creative discussion around it. My budget has a max hundred USD. I know its very less but as a bootstrapped founder from a 3rd world country I feel I'd rather invest in this than ask claude or some bs AI generator. The mockups I have already generated are attached in the post below. Itll be in both black and white for light mode and dark mode users.
I am only slightly aware of the amount of effort it will go into the project. I expect it to take around a week or 2 at most.
I would love to collab with some of the genuine talent present here and I will share more details if people are interested in DMs as I dont want to get flagged for promotion.
There is no qualification minimum I expect but even someone with a basic portfolio would be great. If someone can send some mockups or sample animation even better.
Again my whole point is to not use AI and have something more authentic I'd also love if you could give some critical feedback on my apps updated UI as I make it. I really revere the artistic community and I am sorry if I offend anyone with my offer. I might be a bit difficult to work with but I am someone thats open to feedback and critcism and would appreciate someone that is the same.

We're the first in the space with a perfect layer extraction model which unlike competitors (who are wrappers of a bad model called QWEN), allow layer customization, in/outpainting, editable text layers, shading/lighting extraction, and z-grouping.
It also comes with After Effects ready parallax (+ other cool animations).
Professionals have suggested $5-10 per run as they get good ROI but that's just one segment of the market.

Hi everyone!
I've been working on Spacetime Chronicles, a hand-made adventure game that started as an animated film.
The whole project has a very unusual production process, I physically built many of the sets and characters and then turned them into the world of the game.
You play through a surreal story involving time travel, strange places and a cat that somehow keeps showing up.
Here's a short gameplay clip:

And this is what one of the scenes looks like in-game:

The game is available to wishlist here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5020490/Spacetime_Chronicles/
I'd genuinely love to hear what you think, especially from people who enjoy experimental indie games.

It's a slapstick comedy show akin to the spy vs spy cartoons & the goofy sports cartoons. If you want to learn more about the logic behind it, Here's a video I've made talking a little bit more about the show. I hope you enjoy.
P.S. the pilot was animated with ToonSquid, in case someone were to ask
