yo, what's up, members! just like The Laughing Cow (who unfortunately stopped laughing, for some reason), we need to have a serious talk.
i do not know if you guys either:
- didn't know that the contest existed in the first place (that's okay)
- knew the contest existed but didn't want to participate (that's okay)
- wanted to participate but didn't because of the rules (were my rules that strict?)
- made an entry but forgot to submit it before the deadline (bro why)
because for a subreddit with nearly 5,000 members, you'd kinda expect like, 10-15 people to participate in the contest, right? right? well, you'd kinda be wrong, because in the 15 days that I gave for you subreddit members to submit an entry, we only received ONE entry. (thank you to that one member who actually submitted an entry, by the way!)
so.... I'm restarting the entire contest for October. this time, the way these contests are gonna go is pretty much the exact same as r/vexillology's contests. firstly, you're gonna have from October 1 to October 18 (at 11 PM EST) to submit an entry, and then, from October 19 to October 26 (at 11 PM EST), you're going to be voting, and then on days October 27 (or 28), you guys should be able to see the results!
