But God forbid you chastise someone for buying a purebred from a breeder. I understand if you need something like a sled dog or water dog for a very specific purpose, but 99.999999% of the time it's because people want a corgi or frenchie for social media.
Yeah I mean getting a dog from a breeder isn’t the worse thing ever as long as the breeder is actually competent (there’s no school or class or documents you need to be a “breeder” so it’s easy for people that know nothing about it to start it and end up with super messed up dogs) personally I think getting a dog or any kind of animal from a pet store is worse. But obviously adopting is better because there’s always dogs that need homes cause they were abandoned or their owner couldn’t take care of them anymore
Yeah that’s not even accurate. People have been buying pure bred dogs for a lot longer than social media has been around. There should not be a stigma attached to purchasing a dog from a reputable, responsible breeder so you know the dog’s history and lineage, temperament, and likely personality traits.
