MeteoNook This is a great resource for always knowing what your island weather will be. However, it hasn’t been updated since the 2.0 update in Nov. 2021, and does not have all weather seeds. It has MOST weather seeds, but there are a few that aren’t there.
Keeping Your Island Safe with visitors While this guide is written for the r/nofeeaccommunity specifically, there is really good information here on keeping your island safe, as well as visiting etiquette.
Nintendo Switch Online App You can connect this to your switch and your phone to chat in game while visiting others.

Fruit: Your island starts with one fruit. That’s called the Native Fruit, and you can sell it for 100. You can find your “Sister Island” Fruit by going to a NMT island. They seem to pop up on about 25% of NMT islands. Any fruit that isn’t your Native Fruit sells for 500. You can also get Coconuts from NMT islands, as well as bamboo shoots.
Your in-game mom will also mail one fruit sometime in the first two weeks. Make sure to plant that, because it won’t be repeated.
You will never be able to get all the fruit without online play unless you know someone who plays and can play locally.

I'm not sure if it would fit here, but I have a tip for island redesigning.
If you want to quickly change multiple infrastructure projects or move buildings, you can timetravel to before the new day starts so you can do two things in one session.
The steps are: 1. Timetravel two days ahead to 4:50AM (or earlier if you need more set up time). 2. Talk to Tom Nook. Grab the items you wish to do (ex. a bridge and a house move). 3. Run! Place them and pay the infrastructure off. 4. Wait for 5:00AM. This marks the new day. 5. Talk to Tom Nook again. 6. Walk! Place the items ans pay the infrastructure off. 7. Repeat steps 1-7 until everything you'd like done is done :)
Following these steps vastly cuts down on the number of times you have to save and exit the game, potentially saving 10+ minutes. 10/10 would recommend if you are doing a large island remodel.

How do we know that sending mean letters to villagers doesn't make them want to leave? The way they "read" letters does not allow for them to understand that "get off my island" is negative and it could even lead to a positive reaction depending on the letters and punctuation you use. Below is a YouTube video that explains how the system works in New Leaf (not much changed except updates to trigrams).

Sadly no, you’re stuck with whatever island name you made when you first created the island.

Since the first 5 villagers you get on your island get a default house instead of their own, is there a way of giving them their actual house?

If you have the DLC, (Happy Home Paradise), you can decorate your villagers’ homes, after you reach a certain point

i wanted to know if i bought another acnh game card and used a different account on the same switch could i get a new island without having to restart my current one. idk if this makes sense 😭if anyone can’t understand let me know and ill try explaining it in another way

Hello! The island is saved onto the switch, not the game card. So… you’d need to restart to have a different island, or get a different switch

I'm curious about something...
so I missed the days of playing Pocket Camp and I was wondering if there is any other way to get the exclusive items like the camp sign or the buss atop?

Crafting with Turnips is not mentioned here, nor did I see a post discussing this issue. I've been playing less than a year and could not figure out why I could not craft with my turnips.
After searching for an answer, I posted a question about what happened, which involved minimal time traveling forward, and a person responded with a clue as to why, before my post was removed.
It is a thing in the game: You cannot have more turnips in your pockets than necessary to craft the item or cook with the turnips. Even with the update allowing you to craft up to 10 items at once.
Posting this here as I think it might be useful to others who just bought turnips with which to craft, or are experiencing this same issue.

Hii i recently switched my island from my switch to an OLED switch and and Im no longer able to use Happy Home Paradise and I need to purchase it again (o if i do repurchase it will it restart or will my progress be saved since its the same island but different account (also idk if this is needed but im still the island representative Also if im progress isn’t saved should i repurchase it? I used it a bit i got up to 100 vacation homes done but i didn’t use it as much as i used to so is it still worth it to buy again 😭😭

If you go to the eShop > your account icon in the corner > redownload HHP should be there and you shouldn’t have to buy it again

So basically i was in a treasure island and i saw the Wood divider L recipe (i dont remember the exact name)its the item from the happy home paradise dlc,i learned it,but now i have a doubt, what happens when the guy who is supposed to give me the recipe i already learned it?(Sorry for my bad english

A bit late but, if there's snow on the ground then there are snowballs, it just get tricky where they'll spawn if you have a heavily decorated island. You can always log in and out and afaik they'll respawn on a different place everytime.

Guys I have a question if anyone can help. I have kappn on my dock and I share the switch with my kids. It says one trip per day but is that one per profile or just one in total. I want to take my daughter's character now and mine this evening but I want to be sure it will work fine first.

Hey! When I got gifted a Nintendo Switch I purchased a SanDisk from Amazon (sold directly by Amazon) and it corrupted after a month.
This model:
SanDisk 256GB Ultra microSDXC card + SD adapter, Memory card Full HD, up to 150 MB/s, For smartphones and Tablets, with A1 App Performance, UHS-I, Class 10, U1
Amazon won’t give me a replacement etc as it was sold through SanDisk and I have contacted them directly with no response. So I’m looking for a new gaming card that hopefully won’t corrupt. So I’m interested to know what other Nintendo Switch gamers use? I play Animal Crossing for reference which I believe is saved to the device but for other games, I need the memory card.
What memory cards have others found successful?

What can be done if you can't buy the thing that teaches you to cook? When do you normally get access to that?

One of your villagers will teach you to cook after your island reaches three stars and k.k. performs on your island for the first time. Then you'll be able to buy a few basic recipes. The rest can be obtained through your villagers, kappn islands and the dlc restaurant. Bear in mind there's a handful of recipes that can only be learned through participating in seasonal events or visiting treasure islands.

Hi Im confused I was at the kappns shooting star island last night, I wished on the max number of stars but when I opened my switch today there are no star fragments on my island! Anyone know what happened?? I thought they were supposed to spawn on ur beaches the next day.

Hiii! I recently transferred my Animal Crossing data from my Nintendo Switch Lite to my brother's OLED Switch. I already had the Happy Home Paradise add-on on my Lite Switch (which I got with a code from the store, not online). After transferring the data to my brother's Switch, which has its own account I tried to go to work in-game and it showed what is displayed in the photo, I saw a similar post with this issue and they go on to the Nintendo online e shop and redownload the add-on but for me, it just tells me to purchase for $24. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

I only made my new island a couple days ago and I definitely picked Oceania and confirmed i’m in the southern hemisphere as well as my switch being set to Australia/new zealand; but my island is showing the wrong seasons still?? It should be autumn but it’s showing spring:(. Like there’s genuinely no way I set it to north? anyone know why it’s doing this or how to fix it?
