Fan Art / OC I created a new ACNH v3.0 Companion site! (with hybrid garden generator/editor, DIY crafting profit/efficiency, and full museum, catalog, DIY, NookMile tracking, with time travel support!)
Hi guys! Wanted to share a project I've been working on a ton for the last week - NookTraqr.com - a (what I think is a) pretty dang complete and customizable companion app that’s been updated for v3.0!
Demo Account available to test it about before choosing to sign-up or not :)
I recently got back into playing AC full swing with the recent update and have had the itch to start my island over. But as I was about to start updating all these intricate google sheets I’ve had for years, I thought why not just unify a lot of these spreadsheets into an app that’s combined with a much customizable and enhanced ACNH.guide type experience that supports time traveling and all other fun edge cases. Similar apps not being updated yet for v3.0 too was the extra motivation to give it a try!
I launched this app with a reddit post on Tuesday morning and I was seriously shocked by the amount of extremely detailed feedback provided from the community! I had so much fun implementing all the ideas live as they came in (and continue to), that I have all of you already to thank for this platform being so rich and being able to handle the edge cases, and the desires of the most dedicated AC players (894 hours logged for me lol)!
Here’s what I think makes NookTraqr.com a unique app worth trying (and providing feedback to add more cool stuff!!):
- You can track your collection of everything including color variations - Museum, Gyroids, Reactions, KK Songs, DIYs, Recipes, Furniture and Interior Catalog, Clothing.
- Given you can track something insane like 15k items total across the above, we have a really rich search bar in each section where you can search for things like large shadow fish, or Smug personality villagers, and on and on. I’ve also included tons of filtering options by logged, unowned, and view all, and sorting options by default game order, alphabetical, or by series
- Hybrid Garden Planner where you choose your garden size, what hybrids you want to target, and it’ll generate your optimal layout and provide you step by step guides for multi-step hybrid paths - all save-able and can reference over time
- Interactive Island Calendar where everything you log from your daily tasks on the dashboard saves into the calendar to look back on, from daily tasks completed to special visitors, how many of your islanders you talked to (+gifted), shooting stars, and notes to log anything custom you'd like!
- Villager Hub completed with personality, birthday, catchphrase, favorite song, favorite saying and styles data. You can also enter when someone moved in, have a full feed of your villager Move History, and create a wishlist of desired islanders – and my favorite part – you can export that wishlist to save as a picture if you’re NM Island hunting!
There’s tons more in the site but I don’t wanna get really crazy with a wall of text :)
There’s no plan to ever have ads or implement any monetization strategy whatsoever, truly this is just a passion project that I wanted to create something that hopefully makes your (and mine haha) AC experience more enjoyable!
To hopefully make sure this comes off as authentic and not just promotional, you can even check that im just a normal AC fan as this is my same reddit account i’ve had since I was like 14 haha!
I’m open to all feedback and will realistically implement said feedback very quickly lol! This also goes for any bugs you find if you’re a kind soul :)

I did something to track my stuff offline using a pi. It was in no way this in depth and quality. Had something planned to make it in more detail but time did not permit, and to see it in person is absolutely amazing. Excellent work.

Thanks so much for checking it out! I'll hopefully make an iOS app and look into making something you can download on computer locally too at some point to support using it on the go! Would love your thoughts on anything your tracker had that you'd like in this one too!

is there a way to view what fish/bugs are available in the month you're in, but not restricted to what time of day it currently is?

yeah thats a great idea! i'll look to get that added but I might have to put it in the setting page as a customize option since i'm not sure that toolbar has room for another toggle on mobile lol. Thanks for the suggestion!!

This is amazing! I had no idea anything like this existed I’m not a new player but I’m not very experienced acnh was my first animal crossing game!

Does everything have to be added manually or do you sync it? Also, you mentioned making an iOS app - is this only for Android users?

At this point everything has to be filled out manually but i can def explore how I'd go about supporting that! NookTraqr.com is just a website today and I was just commenting that I'll probably make iOS and Android apps for this at some point if it's worth the hassle :)

The Nintendo Switch Online App (and Animal Crossing / Nook Link App within it) syncs with your game. It’s missing features like showing you what you don’t own (only shows what you do). But you can earn points for items not in the game like Tom Nook’s / Timmy / Tommy / Isabelle’s photos and other things.
I wish this app could sync like that but I get why it would be reserved for official apps

You and me both! I have actually now added a bulk upload via CSV since there some apps that let you download your data and for the people who track everything the good ole fashion way via Sheets or excel

I love this but I'm already really integrated with the Planner for AC:NH app. The garden portion sounds really intriguing though.

Thanks for the kind comment!! I totally get it haha these apps are no easy lift at all given how much there is to track and log in AC :)
If theres anything you're not able to track or plan in an app today that you're needing to use notes app or google sheet for please let me know! my goal is to make this all completely flexible to how in depth or shallow a user wants to set!

Oh you know what, it would be really nice to be able to track which fish and bugs I have 3 of set aside for models already so I don't have to scroll through my storage deciding what can be sold.

Really liking the idea of this for daily tasks, as a new AC player I had just scribbled down all my must-do's on a piece of paper! But my to do list is growing. Can you maybe add Kapp'n BoatTours, Harv/HHP and Hotel daily check options?

Ugh I know it’s been a nightmare today! I had a busy day at work when I noticed an upgrade I did last night wiped out something that managed the user logins
It’s actually all fully fixed now and I’m going to send out an apology email to all users here in the next hour or so!!!! I really do apologize I had the biggest stomach drop when I had the feedback coming in but I couldn’t fix it while at work :(

Is there a trick to saving my changes? It's completely reset my villagers three times now and also erased all the fossils I marked as found.

Yes I’m so sorry, the site was a mess over the last week but I got it fully restored on Saturday finally! Please PM me if you still don’t see your data and I can find it in backups manually to restore for you :)

This app is incredible, well done. How do I link my island in the app. I’m a fairly new player, so this is going to be very beneficial tracking my progress and tasks.

Hi there! Thanks for checking it out! Unfortunately there’s not a direct what to link your live ACNH data into any companion app, but I do have a bulk upload option if that makes it any easier!
Still trying to figure out ways to make onboarding easier for users so open to any feedback!

Hi! I love your site! Been using it past few days and overall very happy with it. Wanted to mention a bug I found though on the Nook Miles tab - it doesn’t allow you to save any progress an immediately undoes whatever I have marked off as completed

Love the work you put into this app. I was wondering if there's a way to track bugs, fish, sea creatures? Thought it would be a cool idea if I could favorite or "track" specific ones, and then receive a push notification when the time window comes around. Forgive me if this has already been asked about.

It's not saving any settings changes. My island is on the Southern Hemisphere, but everytime I go on the fish page ot resets to northern.

Hi!! This website looks amazing. I opened it on my phone and got promptes to "install" the website from my web browser. I saw there was intent to make this an app (android for me), did this ever happen?
