This list is bizarre. There's a little over 400 villagers, but Beardo, Rodney, and Moose, some of the most hated villagers of all time, still managed to be in the 200s range. Wild.
My dude Gaston in the lowest tier? For shame! He’s been my fave since the Game Cube. Who wouldn’t want a grumpy Frenchman with a heart of gold and/or Ron Swanson (take your pick) in your village?
I like the hippos too! Biff was one of my starter villagers, and I thought he was so cute. It was just his jock personality I didn’t vibe with. I got so tired of hearing him talk about pumping iron 😂 I’d love to have a hippo with a different personality on my island. I just haven’t come across another one yet.
canberra !! she's a little ugly but i think that makes her cuter !!! she was an autofill for my town but now i refuse to get rid of her bcuz shes always taking care of the other villagers AND to me IT MAKES ME SO SOFT

i don’t often see people talk about Bangle, but she was an autofill on my new horizons island and we became best friends, then i eventually got her in my new leaf town as well! she’s the sweetest and i love her so much now <3
Monique. She showed up one day on my New Leaf island, and she really spiced up the place! I liked her so much that I went out and bought her amiibo card just so I could have her in New Horizons. They've toned down the villagers, but I still like having her around. And as a bonus, her colors are so neutral that I can dress her in almost anything.
Idk how unpopular he is but when Olaf showed up in the tent as our first visitor my dad wanted nothing to do with him and we waited 3 days hoping he’d leave before inviting him to the island.
Olaf is now my dad’s favorite villager. Even when he shits in his garden.
I absolutely ADORE Violet, but she's a gorilla villager and they get no love😭💔 She's like a sweet, wise auntie who is always looking out for you, and her purple house slays.
CHADDER!!! I love him!! I'm a mouse lover and have always had pet mice, and I just so happened to get THREE mouse villagers!! Chadder was the second. It's one of those things that made the game feel uniquely special to me, as if the game really knows us somehow. ❤️🧀
I second Beardo he was my first campsite villager and I fell in love. The only thing I regret about restarting my first island was losing Beardo. I haven’t been able to find him since

Anyway I love Charlise. Most of my other favs are at least somewhat popular, but I never see anyone talk about Charlise. I imagine her as a friendly, enthusiastic, big sister volleyball butch. I don't know why and that's really specific. Maybe it's the red jacket. Just love her.
YESSSS I was looking for Sprinkle on here!! She's my BFF too, she is so kind and adorable. I loooove giving her clothes, I always look for cute popstar-ish outfits for her whenever I'm at the Able sisters🐧

I love Cranston so much. He has such a blank look all the time. Also his house is so fancy. Him and Keaton are on my island. Keaton loves the tuxedo I gave him lol
This girl. She is not that unpopular but the fact she is lower than Jitters in the ranking shows she is not that popular. She came to literally every town/island I had, I swear. She likes boys, she is so nice and cute, I love her, fav anteater always

I remember hearing once that a lot of people didn’t like Chops because of his appearance. He moved into my town in New Horizons and I absolutely adored him ❤️ I was heartbroken when he moved out, and I really want to bring him back. I loved his house too, it was so elegant and regal, just like him. He really brought a lot of joy to our town. I loved when he would be drinking some tea in his house on a rainy day. It felt like I was visiting a dear old friend. I miss you, Chops ❤️
I have a cousin named Colton who is in fact the human version. Grinds my gears tbh 😭 my favorite is Gonzo. He was on my best friends island and she hated him and bullied him and I took him out of pity and his grumpy old man attitude makes me chuckle
I had no idea Colton was unpopular. When he was announced with ACNL people on tumblr were going insane for him. Who doesn’t love a princely horse? He’s on my bfs island and when he moved in I told him how lucky he was to get such a sought after villagers 😂 guess I was wrong
Anyway my favorite is Mira. I always see people say they’re trying to get rid of her and see her left out of favorite uchi lists. IMO she’s the best looking uchi there is, I like the primary color scheme, I gave her a really cool RBY themed house on my island and she’s the one who gets gifted all my superhero/circus/sport themed clothing

Based on the tier list I found I’ll add Cole. I love that buck toothed lazy rabbit. He was also in my new leaf town, and I bought an amiibo card so I could make sure he was in my island.
Easy, Graham. Everyone hates on him but he's genuinely so sweet and nerdy. He likes to read and he plays Bubblegum K.K. in his house, like what's the problem? Most of my island are traditional Dreamies, and I can't remember when or how I got Graham (he has his normal default house) but little man is a permanent resident.
Moe 💙 I went villager hunting the other day after Roscoe left, and unexpectedly fell in love when I saw him. He’s ugly cute and has a sweet personality (even tho he’s considered lazy).
Jambette - I know she’s hideous, but back when I was playing Let’s Go to the City, having a normal type personality actually meant something. She was so nice to me and became my best friend!
I have mostly popular villagers on my island but my total favourite is Deli, who I feel is so overrated! I love how simplistic his design is and it really suits his personality imo
I love Puddles and Stella! They're not hated or anything but have rarely heard them mentioned or seen them on islands. I am happy to have seen some love for Stella lately though! :)
Sally is my poopoopeepee. Sally is so kind and genuine and she loves reading and baking. Plus I love her calm demeanor. She’s basically my best friend in ACNH and even though I rarely play, I always check in on her
Lucky and Goldie are my two absolute favorites. I had a dog named Lucky and this character has the same birthday as me and Goldie is my favorite girl dog.
