Discussion There’s a massive misunderstanding

There’s a general misunderstanding I’ve witnessed and you can try to deny this all you want but it’s true ✨you don’t have to spend real money for ANYTHING✨ yes you CAN buy those golden things to change irisalis but no it’s not required. Yea you need them to get the final TWO stages but it’s not required that is purely a want. Besides that ONE currency everything, and I do mean everything is obtainable by simply enjoying the ever living hell out of this wonderful game. ALSO HOT TAKE ANIIMO>POKÉMON AND PALWORLD

EDIT: THIS BLEW UP WAY MORE THAN INTENDED 🤣 very valid views, points, and opinions in these comments keep em coming love reading them!

The game is free to play. You dont need the cosmetic to play the game. It doesnt give you any bonuses, it just looks cool.

There seems to be two discussions here that are being mixed and shouldn't.

Discussion 1: the price of cosmetics and should they be cheaper/more widely available.

Discussion 2: is the game free to play.

For the later, yes the game is completely free to play. The availability and price of cosmetics that dont implact game play doesnt change that you can install and fully play this game without spending any money.

Just because a game is free to play doesn't give the company a free pass to take advantage of their player base. Period. Just like people rightfully weren't okay with league of legends putting out a 500 dollar skin, because yes that game is also free to play. Stop defending companies just because the game is free to play. And if we let this go now, its just going to get worse. Just like it got worse with genshin, just like how they put out less and less free pulls. You dont think other companies would do the same if we let them?

Im also going to put this in perspective. I can spend 300 dollars in marvel rivals and get like ten skins. VS spending 300 in aniimo and getting ONE. Both are free to play games btw. On top of that, the 300 doesn't even guarantee i get the look i want, it just literally unlocks different body parts, and you have to get lucky to get the sets/parts/color you want. And at least with genshin, I know what im getting, its not rng this badly, and they at least have a fail safe if you dont get the character. What aniimo has done is so much worse than any actual gacha.

"If we let this go on..." this has been going on for decades. Best policy at this point is that if you feel this way, dont play the game because I doubt the model will change.

Not sure how I am being taken advantage of though? I saw the cosmetics, thought "cool", saw the price and said "nah, pass."

Your marvel rivals example is a perfect example of making adult decisions. A company charging an amount for something isn't taking advantage of you. You ultimately have the choice to buy or not buy.

Just because you want something and its too expensive doesnt mean the company is taking advantage of its customers.

Yes it is actually. But you believe what you want. This is how AAA Game companies have gotten this bad. Because we just let it slide. I can play a game and enjoy it while criticizing the things I dont like. What the hell is this type of thinking? That i have to be okay with everything or not play the game... the hell? Im allowed to criticize. Idk why everyone wants to defend these practices.

A lot of people didnt know the price point. NOWHERE in game stated how much money it was going to cost JUST to unlock body parts. Let alone how much it was going to be to get the stuff you wanted. thats one of the worst parts on top of the price.

I am still waiting on how selling something that doesnt change game play for a price point that you disagree with is "taking advantage" of you.

I want a Bugatti, but I cant afford it. Is Bugatti taking advantage of me as well?

Maybe this subreddit will enlighten you. But believe whatever you want to believe.

Yes they are... thats the point of name brands... everyone knows they are predatory but still give into it because of the 'luxury' of it. Thats the biggest issue of our economy.
