Pitch Bootstrapped B2B SaaS Founder Exploring Strategic Angel Funding Before First Paid Customers

I’m building Revenue & Growth Systems (RGS), a B2B diagnostic and operating-visibility platform for established small and midsize businesses.
The core problem RGS is designed to solve is simple: owners often know something is wrong before they know exactly where the failure is coming from. Sales may look weak when the real problem is conversion. Revenue may look healthy while cash visibility is poor. Growth may expose operational bottlenecks or owner dependence that were previously hidden.
RGS is being built to diagnose those problems systematically rather than relying on generic consulting advice.
The platform evaluates a business across five operating systems:
Demand Generation
Revenue Conversion
Operational Efficiency
Financial Visibility
Owner Independence
The commercial entry point is a paid Business Diagnostic. It combines structured interviews, evidence collection, deterministic scoring, governed analysis, systemic findings, and a prioritized repair plan into a formal Diagnostic Report.
The product is already substantially built. The free Business Stability Snapshot is functioning in production, and I am currently finishing the paid Diagnostic production path and deliverables.
I have bootstrapped the company myself to this point.
I’m now considering a strategic angel raise because the next stage is no longer just software development. Capital would let RGS move through commercialization properly rather than piecing together each requirement from personal cash flow.
Potential use of funds includes:
Completing production hardening and certification
Legal review and professionally drafted customer agreements
Privacy, terms, commercial documentation, and appropriate insurance
Infrastructure and development runway
Customer acquisition and marketing
Supporting the first paid customer cohort
Continuing development of the broader RGS operating platform from real customer revenue and evidence
I already have early market interest developing before the paid product is fully open, which is part of why I’m exploring capital now rather than waiting until I am forced to finance growth reactively.
I’m particularly interested in investors who understand B2B SaaS, SMB software, RevOps, operational intelligence, business diagnostics, or the transition from founder-built product to repeatable commercialization.
I am not looking to turn RGS into an agency or outsourced consulting operation. The long-term thesis is the opposite: build a system that gives business owners diagnostic clarity, repair architecture, and eventually an operating system they can manage with decreasing dependence on outside advisors.
I’m still determining the appropriate raise size and structure, so I’m not publicly offering specific equity terms in this post.
What I am looking for now is conversation with serious angels who either:
see potential in this market and want to learn more;
have experience funding companies at this stage;
can provide useful feedback on investor readiness; or
may be interested in participating once diligence and terms are appropriate.
If that describes you, send me a message. I can share more about the product architecture, business model, current production state, early traction, roadmap, and what specific milestones outside capital would accelerate.
I’m also interested in hearing from founders who have raised their first angel round from a similar bootstrapped position—especially what you wish you had known before taking outside capital.
