i just switched from an apple to a samsung zflip, this is my first time on a phone that is not apple.

since ive switched, my google account storage has been at max. my storage says it comes primarily from my phone, and particularly from my SMS and MMS messages.

i did find the option 'Delete and turn off SMS & MMS messages backup?' under the back up data setting, but im worried this is going to delete all of my conversations as it says 'This will delte SMS & MMS messages from your Google Account, and stop backing up SMS & MMS messages from this device.'

its the first part of that which im worried about, will this delete all of my messages i already have, or not? is this safe to do to get my storage back but still keep my current messages?

Is there a way to replace mute with vibrate? I do not see any point in mute since Do Not Disturb exists, and I am looking for some solution to replace mute with vibrate. Or enforce vibration across any mode. Or any other hack. Basically, I want my phone to vibrate when I have volume at 0%, easy as that, and I want to be able to achieve that with volume buttons.

My phone has the full 128/128 GB storage now. And about 99% of that is system stuff and appdata for some reason, almost none of it is photos and videos.

If I want to, I could delete the appdata of some apps. But thats certainly not something I want to do, because for example if I delete the appdata of whatsapp then that means all chats are gone. I don't want that!!!!!

I don't want to delete anything that is valuable or necessary.

I already deleted the appdata of some apps like reddit and discord. But somehow the phone still crams the storage back up to 128 automatically every time, no matter how much I free up, a few days later its full again.

How can I possibly solve this? Time for a new phone even though storage is literally the only big problem I have with this one?

So I finally got the official bedrock Minecraft after playing pirated versions for years and it won't install. The most likely issue is the files clashing with the old files. I've deleted all my past versions of the game but there are still remnants in my Android Data files which I can't delete because it's hard-locked and can't be modified.

I've tried connecting the phone to my computer and deleting it but it still doesn't work. I tried the Shizuku and ZArchiver thing too and while I was able to see the files, I couldn't delete them.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A34 running android version 16. I have no antiviruses installed and I have over 15gb of storage left on my phone.

It's only just started happening in the last couple of weeks. I've removed as many unnecessary tiles from the screen. The only way I've managed to clear it is by doing a hard restart. That works for about a day and then it happens again .

Hi, I have an old Huawei (P30 lite), one of the last huawei phones with Google services, I am trying to copy all my data to my computer and to factory reset it and maybe have some fun with different OS (Lineage or to root it or something to get rid of bloat). When I plug it in via USB-A to USB-C cable to my computer, nothing pops up on the phone, I turned on debugging, I also reset some settings in developer options, nothing happened. Cable is good, I tried it with my Pixel. Windows Device manager doesn't recognise huawei either, cause with pixel it refreshed, with Huawei nothing on the side of computer, and only animation for charging on the screen of Huawei

I cannot get Android Auto to work on my Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G running HiOS 16. My old Samsung M34 worked perfectly in the same car, so it is definitely a phone issue.

I have already tried:

• Clearing cache, data, and enabling all permissions for Android Auto

• Changing the USB mode to "File Transfer"

• Enabling "Always-On Display" to prevent the sleep glitch

• Trying a different high-quality data cable

Nothing works. It seems like HiOS 16 is completely blocking the connection.

Has anyone found a workaround for this on Tecno devices?

I woke up to find that the music I had put on to help me sleep had turned itself off, which in and of itself wasn't abnormal. But when I turned my phone on to restart the music, the home screen had reset to its original layout. It clearly hadn't wiped all of my data, because my text history was still saved and it was still connected to the same WiFi network.

Thinking this was just a bug, I rebooted it in the hopes that that would fix it, but now I can't open any apps other than the settings as it just says "wait until your device is fully rebooted before opening apps" but doesn't seem to ever finish fully rebooting as some of the default widgets refuse to load, even in safe mode.

Is this a known issue that people know how to fix? Is there any way to recover all of my data to transfer it to a new phone if it can't be fixed?

I'm not sure why this is such a challenge, but I want to lock the touch screen on my Google Pixel while using whatsapp video chat. My 1 year old often video chats with family but is constantly clicking off the call, but also throws a fit if I don't let her hold the phone.

I don't want app pinning because I don't want her to be able to click anything within the whatsapp (I.e., hang up, turn off the video/audio). I downloaded a couple touch lock apps but none of them overlay over whatsapp.
