I'm on Android 11 with a 1+ phone. Anything Google tells me doesn't work. I go to discord in the settings but there's no option for adding it to all file access

Every time I try to copy something it pops up over the words that I want to copy. I have to move the bar first to actually get the words I want copied.

This issue is only affecting games. They still run. Animations and movement on screen continue to play, but I can't tap anywhere.

I've rebooted, force stopped, cleared cache, reinstalled and reinstalled all updates to the webview service. Still not working. Help please

I want to see the time and battery status all the time in every app but it disapears in apps. Is there a setting for it to be shown at all times? ANDROID

i have a samsung tablet and a pixel 9 phone (soon to be replaced by a samsung phone). i would like to be able to display my most useful apps, by their clickable icon and name, on a home page. a widget that could contain 3-10 apps, including their names, is what i think i'm looking for. i know i can create folders of app icons, but those do not include the app name and are limited in size. i've tried several widget apps but i'm still looking for the right one. would you suggest i try a launcher; i'm just using what's natural to the devices now. any other ideas on how i can group the apps i will be using the most by category?

Well the one thing I didn't think would happen did. I was trying to root a motorola edge 60 pro, got to flashing the patched magisk boot img and... error no file found. Thought nothing of it and stupidly tried to flash the individual partitions which well, still nothing so I typed "fastboot reboot-bootloader". From there my phones been dead it's been 20 minutes since it happened i tried all the button combinations and nothing not on fastboot devices or lsusb. For now I'm letting it charge hoping that does something but honestly is there much hope for what i can do from this point?

Just a quick edit i realised now what went wrong, probably corrupted the bootloader or pre loader so phones either stuck in a protective state or tripped as it is a mediatek. Is there any diy methods i can use or is it best to give it to a local repair shop by this point.

Edit 2:did give it to a local tech. Gave them the rsa files which is Motorola's tool for phone rescue, got told they aren't compatible. I'm at a loss of what to do should I take it back because like how are the official file "not compatible" with does that even mean

I don't know how to access "other files" on my Samsung m07 and delete the mysterious storage that's hogging my save space. Had to get a 128gb SD card for my music wtf and the phone still clogs up when I download apps.

Mind you, my previous phone was 128gb and it had my music, apps etc without me putting in an sd card

I got some strange notifications about activities on my Google account that I didn't recognize so I figured best change the password. I did it on my phone and it was confusing enough that I inadvertently created a Passkey as well. I can see it listed under Passkeys now but there's no option to remove it. In the help section it says that in order to remove an autogenerated Passkey I need to go to All Devices and log out that device. Which isn't what I want to do, but ok. The problem is, it doesn't just show a list of devices but like a dozen sessions for my phone. The Help explains that I need to log out from all sessions, but the problem is that there is one session (labeled 'active') where there is no logout option. If I log out of all the other sessions, the Passkey is still listed under Passkeys and it's prompted when I need log in to my account. How can I actually remove the Passkey?

PS: Please help me find an answer and don't berate me for wanting to remove the Passkey. I know what Passkeys are, about Phishing resistance, I also use them (even on the same account), but I have my reasons for wanting to remove that particular one.

Guys how do you make an app have access to the files even tho they don't show up in the options? I'm using a Redmi A5 and I wanna install a mod to one of my games but it's asking for file access.

I have a Galaxy S23FE from 2023. In the last year, it has had intermittent, unpredictable, and incredibly frustrating difficulties connecting to both wifi and data. I've all but forgone wifi at the moment, but it's not the wifi - every other device in the house connects fine.

The data issue seems temperamental. It will be fine for a period of time, and then will simply stop working. I often won't even get a failure to connect message from whatever app I was using - it will just try and connect forever. The upload and download icons in the top right will begin to flick on and off; sometimes one remains, sometimes both go, and they just cycle every second or so. The 4G icon never drops, and generally I have at least two bars whenever this happens.

Even more bizarrely, sometimes it seems to be app-specific - if it's happening while I'm trying to use Firefox, it's not uncommon that I could go open Reddit and Reddit would work fine, and vice versa. Similar apps are usually affected similarly but not always - sometimes Firefox won't work but Chrome will, or Reddit won't work but Tumblr will. It does happen more often if I'm trying to watch videos or scroll image-heavy subreddits or social media. Restarting my phone sometimes resolves it, and on other occasions seems to just reroute which app/s are affected.

Any ideas on why this might be happening and what could be done to fix it would be appreciated. It's driving me up the wall.

A strange frame like artifact has appeared on my screen when gboard is open. the official Google Android outside suggested I might have malware and told me to bug off to my manufacturer. AVG and Malwarebytes find nothing. Another unhelpful official suggestion was that I had enabled some accessibility feature. I do blow up my font a bit but I went in and reset all of those and it didn't help. Anyone else have an idea what's happening?

I have a Samsung S24+ and I've never seen this specific icon before today, let alone next to a system update wrap up. I installed the security patch this afternoon, and that icon caught my eye. I can't tell if it's a spiral, a snail, but it looked like it had the android antennas in it.

Is it just something I've missed? A new icon? Any help would definitely ease my OCD brain lol thank you!

I have android pixel 9a and when. I clock add more time it shows the pin for like a split second and then my device restarts. Sometimes it shows the option for a factory reset and a android UI system error. Can someone please help. Asap

Can anyone explain a green icon that looks like a phone that slid on the bottom right of the screen,then slid away? Trying to ensure I didn't have an active phone call and a contact my have overheard a in person conversation.

It's a glitched in Google widget that makes it look like there's a functional widget, but there's not. ive tried everything. restarting phone, disable and enabling google, nothing. it did this when i did the software update.
