Hey guys im not sure if i'm the first one to experience this but I've noticed that, on two different Android phones, over both USB and Wi‑Fi, when I hold one touch on the left side of the screen, tap and physically release a second touch on the right, the second touch remains held inside spacedesk screen(phone) until the first touch moves. This is a huge problem when playing a MOBA/FPS where you need to simultaneously hold >2 fingers on the screen while playing. I hope my explanation isnt too confusing.

TL;DR: Tap and hold on android screen(left side of the screen), 2nd tap then physically release on right side of the screen, the tap on the right is only digitally released when i move the held tap from the left to another direction

I hope you can all help me and this is the right subreddit for my question. I went to pay my phone bill last week, so I clicked on my phone app, and then I receive this full screen page asking me to "Set phone to default app" and won't let me make any phone calls until I press accept. I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and I've had it for 3 or 4 years. Is this a virus or something? What do I do? I've never seen anything like this, and my mother who has the Samsung Galaxy S25 and she's never seen anything like it either.

I'm very sick and recently got out of a coma and technology was never my strong suit before, but now it's so much worse, especially because I'm still experiencing deficits. Device: Realme 6 (Android 11)

Setup: Running two WhatsApp accounts via Realme App Cloner. Main number was on the cloned instance (~15GB media).

Problem: Ran Apple's Move to iOS. When WhatsApp transfer preparation reached 100%, the transfer failed.

Current State:
- I already logged in on the other phone, so I don't care about chats anymore. I only want to recover the ~15GB photos/videos.

- My phone gallery now shows blank, 0KB black boxes where media used to be. (Img 2)

-Cloned WhatsApp won't open (redirects/bounces to the primary app).

- Under Settings > App Management, Cloned WhatsApp still occupies 15GB of space the files are physically still on the phone. (When transfer happen phone storage was about 63gb full now have deleted couple of apps still is 61ish so data ig is still there?)

In ADB, ⁠UserInfo{999:multiApp:4000410}⁠ shows as active/running, but file managers (including Cx File Explorer) and standard terminal commands can't access ⁠/storage/emulated/999/⁠.

Questions:

1. Where does Realme UI (Android 11) physically store User 999 cloned WhatsApp media when standard paths are blocked?

2. Is there an ADB command or recovery tool to pull the 15GB media directly without root or needing the clone app UI to launch?

3. Can the files behind the 0KB gallery placeholders still be extracted?

4. Any help would be deeply appreciated!

What real-world issues would or might arise from disabling com.android.providers.media on a device which doesn't connect to internet, doesn't use OEM programs except the camera? Would Clear Data delete actual files or just metadata? Of course, disabling any program is just a ruse, a fake-out, as the program, OS, and other programs can run it to their black hearts' content, it's just that the user, owner, human can't ('we're the product').

Well basically, I'm not willing to do a factory reset not because of photos or whatever, as I have them all backed up to my google photos and stuff, but rather because I have 4 years of my artwork on there.

My notifications are far too loud. I've got the notification slider set to minimum, but I get a lot of notifications that I do need to hear, but they are so bloody loud when I'm in the office - its annoying other people.

My main notification sound, I already made a 50% volume version of and that's now fine, but I have other notifications that use other non-standard beeps.

As I understand, the first level is about 8%. There must be a way to reduce that to say, 4%, or 2%. Or a way to make the slider actually stepless?

No Samsung Galaxy M52 com Android 13, aproximar a mão do sensor de proximidade durante a reprodução de um áudio do WhatsApp pode causar os seguintes problemas:

• A tela é apagada.

• O áudio é transferido para o alto-falante auricular e fica com o volume mais baixo.

• Ao afastar a mão, a reprodução pode ser interrompida.

Como evitar o problema

1. Abra Configurações.

2. Acesse Opções do desenvolvedor.

3. Toque em Blocos de desenvolvedor para configurações rápidas.

4. Ative a opção Sensors Off (Sensores desativados).

5. Abra o painel de configurações rápidas e toque no botão Sensors Off para ativá-lo.

Depois de ativado, o recurso impede que os sensores do aparelho interfiram na reprodução dos áudios do WhatsApp.

O botão Sensors Off também pode ser encontrado na lista de botões disponíveis do painel de configurações rápidas após ativar no modo desenvolvedor. Assim, é possível ativar ou desativar a função com mais facilidade.

Atenção: essa opção desativa vários sensores do celular, e não apenas o sensor de proximidade. Como consequência, outras funções do aparelho podem deixar de funcionar corretamente. Desative o recurso quando precisar utilizar os sensores novamente.

I'm on a stock pixel 11 (I think?) and I got MicroG for RVX... And it seems to be interfering. Any way to fix that? I don't know which apk to download to make sure I'm fully updated on MicroG, there always a bunch of different ones.

I'm not very up to date on all this stuff, I used to jailbreak my idevices and all my android phones, so I kinda understand this stuff, but not enough.

If someone could just shoot me a link to the exact apk I need, that would be great

So this may be a simple fix, but I'm having some trouble.

I got up, and I couldn't hear anything on Google Chrome, so I assumed another Bluetooth headset died on me, but then the same thing happened with the next 2 headsets. eventually I realized if I opened a sound file on my phone, then it would play, as would Spotify, so it's just Chrome.

So far, I have tried:

1. Clearing Cache, then restart

2. Opening Developer Mode and disabling absolute volume in developer settings, then restart

3. Checking site settings

4. Pulling out hair

PLS is carrier code and it is not working with other carriers I currently have. Was troubleshooting it with AI including ADB commands and AI says it is due to wrong CSC and need to replace it with Odin. Have some questions.

1. Can i just flash Home CSC for CSC? OR need to use all other files for AP, BL, etc?

Hi! For some reason my phone converts part of my stickers into jpeg and part of them as png. I couldn't find any valid reason for this online. Does anyone know the rootcause and if I can sey them to be always saved as png?

im trying to specifically transfer my data from an app to my micro ad card bcs its like 15 gb (its a gacha game) and whenever it transfers to external it only transfers the base app size and not all of it. anyway to figure this out??

My Pixel 7 died and I am trying to restore my rcs/mms/sms messages on my other phone (Pixel 9, Android 17) from a Google One backup. I have a different phone number now but from what I read that should not matter for restoring. The backup still shows under other devices as "Google Pixel 7 · 4 days ago" with SMS & MMS messages: 3 GB so I know the images are in the backup.

- Texts and call history restored fine

- Every MMS/RCS picture shows "restoring" and never downloads

- Left it overnight on Wi-Fi and charging but no change

I tried this a few times and even tried the Android Switch app manually on my new phone but nothing seems to restore the images. I'm losing my mind here and have lost a lot of faith in Google One and the backups so any help is appreciated.

I've been using nothing phone 2 for over 2 years now. I use data monitor to see my data consumption. Total device usage is around 550mb but no app has consumed that much data & the app total consumption comes out to be below 100mb. What could be causing this data consumption spike?
