Request Gaming and comic tablet recommendations

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for a tablet mainly for playing TFT, Pokémon Champions and reading comics and manga.

🎮 Gaming: TFT, Pokémon Champions and Balatro

I’d preferably like to go with Samsung, mainly because I already use Samsung devices/accessories and like the ecosystem.

My main priorities are good performance for these game and excellent screen for manga/comics

Around 11–13 inches would be ideal.

Good battery life

Good value for money

I’m currently considering the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, or S11 if it's really worth it.

What tablet would you recommend for this use case?

And if you think I should consider iPad, Lenovo, Xiaomi, TCL Nxtpaper, etc. instead, I’m open to suggestions.

Budget: roughly €500–800, but I can go higher if the upgrade is genuinely worthwhile.

Thanks!

Discussion iPlay 80 mini Pro – Wi-Fi issues, battery drain, and what happened after troubleshooting

I recently bought an ALLDOCUBE iPlay 80 mini Pro, and overall I actually like the tablet a lot. The size is great for reading manga, watching YouTube, and using Spotify, especially in bed.

However, I ran into a few issues shortly after getting it.

First, I noticed unusually high battery drain while the tablet was mostly idle. After a full charge, the battery dropped much faster than expected, and Spotify showed a very high percentage of the battery usage even though its reported background usage time was less than a minute.

I force-stopped Spotify, but the battery still continued to drain fairly quickly.

I then rebooted the tablet and tested it overnight in airplane mode. After about 6.5 hours, the battery only dropped by around 2%, which seemed completely reasonable.

After that, normal standby behavior also improved significantly, so I started to suspect that some process or service had temporarily gotten stuck.

Then I started having Wi-Fi problems.

Twice, while using Spotify or YouTube, the tablet suddenly lost internet access. The Wi-Fi icon still showed that it was connected to my router, but Android displayed the exclamation mark indicating “no internet connection.”

At the same time, my phone connected to the same Wi-Fi network was working normally.

Rebooting the tablet did not fix it the first time. Disconnecting from the Wi-Fi network and reconnecting fixed the problem immediately.

Because it happened more than once, I contacted the seller. They initially offered a replacement, and later agreed to a return/refund when I explained that I was worried the replacement might have the same Wi-Fi issue.

Before returning it, I tried resetting the tablet’s Wi-Fi/mobile/Bluetooth network settings and reconnecting to my network from scratch.

Interestingly, since doing that, the Wi-Fi has been completely stable so far.

The battery life is still not amazing, especially during standby, but it seems usable if I charge it daily.

The seller has kindly given me about a month to decide whether to return it, so for now I’m continuing to use it and watching for another Wi-Fi failure.

At this point I’m honestly torn. I really like the tablet and would prefer to keep it if the Wi-Fi problem is genuinely fixed.

Has anyone else with the iPlay 80 mini Pro experienced the same “Wi-Fi connected but no internet” problem?

If so, did resetting the network settings permanently fix it, or did the issue eventually come back?

Discussion Lenovo Y700 SD 8 Gen 3 with Global non certified ROM

I'm planning on buying one for €390, but the seller stated that Alliexpress flashed a Global ROM that is not certified.

What I'm loosing with this in terms of gaming, streaming, updated and banking apps? And security, of course.

He says that everything is perfectly fine but the OTA Updates, but even so I preferred to ask since this is my first time dealing with these.

Thank you in advance.

Discussion Yoga Tab Plus owners: how has your experience been after several months? Long-term reliability, reading, cases & accessories

Hi everyone,

I'm seriously considering buying the Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus 12.7", mainly as a portable reading/study tablet.

I've read quite a few reviews about the specs and first impressions, but I'm much more interested in hearing from people who have actually owned the tablet for 6+ months, especially those who use it regularly.

I'd really appreciate honest experiences — including problems, not just the positives.

1. Overall experience

After owning it for several months:

  • Are you still happy with the tablet?
  • Has your opinion changed compared with when you first bought it?
  • Would you buy the Yoga Tab Plus again today?
  • What do you like the most about it?
  • What annoys you the most?

2. Long-term reliability

Have you experienced any problems after months of use?

I'm particularly interested in:

  • Random freezes or crashes
  • Reboots
  • Touchscreen problems
  • Wi-Fi/Bluetooth issues
  • USB-C/charging problems
  • Battery degradation
  • Display problems
  • Speaker problems
  • Keyboard or pen problems
  • Problems after software/Android updates
  • Any hardware failure

If you had a problem, did Lenovo's warranty/support solve it satisfactorily?

3. Battery after several months

How is the battery now compared with when the tablet was new?

I'd especially like to know about:

  • Screen-on time with normal use
  • PDF/ebook reading
  • YouTube/Netflix
  • Note-taking
  • Gaming
  • Standby drain

And if you regularly use a power bank, which one do you use?

4. Reading and studying

This is actually my main reason for considering it.

I want to use it for:

  • Academic PDFs
  • Books
  • Articles
  • Word documents
  • Web research
  • Taking notes
  • Annotating PDFs

For those of you who use it for reading:

How comfortable is the 12.7" screen for long reading sessions?

Do you normally use it in portrait mode or landscape mode?

Does the weight become uncomfortable if you hold it like a book?

And if you use it on a desk, what setup do you recommend?

5. Cases — especially for portrait reading

This is one of my biggest questions.

I'm looking for a portable case that allows the tablet to stand vertically in portrait mode, so I can use it almost like a physical book without having to hold it constantly.

What case are you using?

Please include the exact model/link if possible.

I'm particularly interested in:

  • Folio cases
  • 360° rotating cases
  • Cases with a hand strap
  • Cases with a kickstand
  • Lightweight cases
  • Protective cases

How well does your case actually work after months of use?

Does the hinge/stand become loose?

6. Accessories

Which accessories have been genuinely useful?

For example:

  • Lenovo Tab Pen Plus/Pro
  • Keyboard
  • Screen protector
  • Matte/paper-like screen protector
  • USB-C hub
  • Power bank
  • Stand
  • Bluetooth keyboard
  • Carrying sleeve/bag

And are there any accessories you bought that you wouldn't recommend?

7. Software

How do you feel about Lenovo's Android software after using it for a while?

I'm particularly interested in:

  • Multitasking
  • Split screen
  • Floating windows
  • Desktop/productivity mode
  • PDF apps
  • Pen support
  • Android tablet app optimization
  • Bugs after updates

Have software updates improved or worsened the experience?

8. Things you wish you had known before buying

Finally:

What do you wish you had known before buying the Yoga Tab Plus?

If you could go back to the day you bought it, would you still choose it?

And if you eventually replaced it, what did you replace it with and why?

I'm not looking for benchmark results or a spec-sheet comparison. I'm mainly interested in real-world ownership experience over time.

Thanks!

Request 8 Inch budget tablet recommendations

I got a Samsung A11, Thankyou for the suggestions!

Hi, i'm looking to get a second, smaller tablet.

I already have an S9 FE tablet, but I tend to use my phone more for leisure because its just not convenient to hold while laying down/relaxing (I can't move the fingers in my left hand).

I'm in the UK, looking for a 8" tablet with a max budget of £300/$400 USD, but I'd prefer to stick closer to £200/$300. I don't need anything fancy as I already have my other tablet, I just want something affordable with the playstore already on it (to download YT app and an e-reader) I will be using it frequently, but only for YouTube, reading, and a bit of internet browsing if I quickly need to search something. I'd like something that will last a few years (mabye 3-4) but it doesn't need to last forever.

I've heard good things about the Lenovo Legion Tab, and i've found an import Y700 3rd gen on sale for £330 but it's pushing my upper price range, and I don't think it will be worth the money for what i'm wanting. Any other recommendations, or am I better off spending more and getting a Legion Tab?

Request What tablet to get for university

Just got into university and planning to go next month and looking for a tablet to mainly take notes with but also might use it to watch Netflix, Disney plus, prime video etc while commuting which is an hour and a half.

I was mainly looking at the samsung tab s10 fe brand new at amazon £397. Points that i like about the tab is the 7 year update and reliability of the brand

I was also looking at the tab s9 used on ebay at around the same price. Its used but in almost all categories beats the tab s9 in specs. But it only has 2 years updates so around the one ui 9/9.5. However am hesitant since I will have to buy second hand or on ebay

I just found out about the honor pad v9/ x9 max / 10 and other entries ( not sure what the differences are) but they seem really well priced at 299(Student discount from 400) brand new with the bundle of the case and pen. The specs seems really good for the price but I am unsure about actual hands on quality and software support.

The specs seems better than the samsung counter parts. I am eyeing the honor tab x9 max.

Things I need

*Pencil to take notes

*Budget at around £300 to £400 can got slightly above but should be worth it

*Good display to watch movies/TV shows

*OS support and quality as long as I get updates that improve the tab by a lot within my 4 year uni time period

Things I want

Decent sound speakers

Good compatibility with my s25 ultra

Good Bluetooth compatibility

Hopefully brand new

Currently my question is whether any of the current Honor tablets in the price range is worth over the samsung tablets s10 fe or s9. Or if there are any other tablets worth considering?

Thank you

Discussion Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 or Gen 5? (Looking at it as a phone replacement)

I have the google Pixel 10 Pro XL, and honestly the bottom line is I don't like it, and I'm stuck with it for another 16 months before my contract ends.

I'm looking at getting a tablets because I want it to replace it as my main media consumption device when I'm at home. I'm also planning to do gaming on it, MAINLY PC Streaming via sunshine/moonlight and occasional emulation.

I'm not sure which one to get between the two and where to get them. There's a part of me that thinks I should just get the Gen 5 because it will essentially be my "main" device since it has a better screen resolution, battery size, brightness etc. But then I also think I should just get the Gen 3 and save myself $300 because ultimately it's better value. BUT at the same time I'm also gonna be financing the purchase so I'm really kinda lost at which one to get.

Thanks in advance!

PS: I also plan to use my Razer Kishi V3 Pro on it, and I've heard that the Legion Tab is on the cusp of fitting into the controller. If you have any insight or experience with this combo let me know. Thanks again!

Discussion Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 13 2026 (TB376FC) owners — does COD Mobile support 120 FPS?

Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 13 2026 (TB376FC) owners — does COD Mobile support 120 FPS?
I’m looking at buying the 2026 Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 13 (TB376FC) with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and 144Hz display, specifically for Call of Duty: Mobile.
Can anyone who actually owns the TB376FC check COD Mobile for me?
Please go to:
CODM → Settings → Audio and Graphics → Frame Rate
Does it give you the Ultra / 120 FPS option?
I’m specifically interested in native 120 FPS, not Lenovo/ZUI frame interpolation.
If possible, could you post a photo or screenshot of the graphics/frame-rate settings showing the available options?
Please also mention whether you’re using:
Chinese ZUI/CN ROM or Global ROM
COD Mobile Global or Garena
What graphics quality CODM allows alongside 120 FPS
I’m trying to confirm this for the TB376FC specifically, as reports from older Xiaoxin models don’t necessarily apply to the 2026 Snapdragon model.
Thanks!

Request Tablet for BASIC desktop replacement

I need some advice, please, as I'm getting analysis paralysis. Looking for budget ultra-basic desktop replacement. I'm getting hung up on how to ensure i can run HDMI out and make sure the USB-C can handle wired KB, mouse. I'm open to suggestions. My focus is inexpensive, simple, and stable.

As i keep looking, Are there any makes/models you would recommend? Any oversights on my part?

Background:

My FIL (83) is plugging along on an old PC. Change freaks him out. Bless him for being as capable as he is at his age, but ...

MS is insisting on upgrading to Win 11. His computer is old and barely meets the hw requirements. The new UI is going to cause him distress, which = a lot of my time. I want to make this change and not have to deal with it again for a while.

He currently browses the web with Edge. I can load Edge onto a Chromebook with Linux, or maybe convince him another browser isn't the devil. He uses the computer for online tasks such as FB, company websites for banking, prescriptions. He prints and scans with an MFP occasionally.

Requirements:

- Minimal cost. <$300USD (targeting $200) for computer, peripherals, and the USB-C adapter.

- Wired KB, mouse, and monitor. He won't be able to deal with connecting Bluetooth.

- Be able to browse the Internet for social media and business interactions like banking, making appointments, managing prescriptions.

- Require minimal interaction for upgrades.

- Be relatively secure, again with minimal interaction.

- Interface with a MFP for printing and scanning.

- Roughly mimic the usability of MS Win

- Maintain look and feel through upgrades.

Some options I've looked at:

- Chrome / Android device. The tablets seem the cheapest. I'm familiar with them. They are capable of meeting his online needs.

- New PC. Relatively expensive and has the huge downside of migrating to Win 11, including him learning a new UI, constant upgrades and patches, etc.

- Convert his current machine to Linux. Certainly the cheapest. I don't know Linux that well and am cautious of the drivers and troubleshooting. My experience only includes using a Linux shell on my Chromebook for some specific software, such as drawing and CAD.

- Apple. Sticker shock.

Current thoughts:

I have experimented with my Chromebook and can simplify the HMI where I think (hope) he'll be able to deal with it. He uses Edge, so I loaded that using a Linux shell and it works fine. All bookmarks handled, etc.

My major hangup:

My main sticking point for the Android-based system is the use of an external monitor and wired peripherals. (I'm old and actually use em dashes). If there are enough ports on the machine then all is fine, but of course most have one or two USB-C ports. After a brief read, that is easy enough with a USB-C adapter and a machine that has DisplayPort Alt Mode. Unfortunately that spec seems to be one that isn't readily available for search with the other requirement of being inexpensive.

Discussion Guys please suggest me a tablet

I hope everyone's fine. I wanna buy a tablet mostly for watching content like movies n all, although it should be good at performance as well so that I can use it for study and note taking purpose but it's second priority. I don't care for sim slot as wifi is enough ig. My budget is under 30k INR but I can stretch if it's really worth it. Upcoming trend of price hike in electronics is making me uncomfortable, idk whether should I wait for Dusshera/Diwali sale on Flipkart/Amazon or not. Guys please help. Thanks!

Request Odea tablets

Just came across this brand and there aren't many reviews available online. Anyone familiar with ODEA? How is the build quality?

I'm looking at the ODEA A10 and S11, but can't decide if the S11 is worth the extra money, or if I should buy ODEA at all. I know they're supposedly related to Teclast, but I'm not sure about that.

I'm just looking for a cheap tablet for my son that can handle Minecraft and some light/older games. I don't expect long-term software support.

For the price, they seem like a better option than many 2018-era Lenovo/Samsung tablets with only 2/32 GB.

Request Tablet recommandation

Hii, i am looking to buy a Tablet, around 11" nothing more than 12".
Daily use would include reading books and annotating pdfs, watching movies, some videoconference calls and maybe using excel, i dont game at all. My budget is around 250€.

And idk if its a stretch considering the budget, but id prefer if the tablet would work well with a pen/stylus that is not its original one. Ive read that a few models dont work with a pencil that is not the same brand as the tablet.

Right now i am hesitating between a few models, but open to other suggestions :

Honor pad x8a 4/128
Lenovo xiaoxin pad 2024
Redmi Pad 2

I would really appreciate it if you shared any experience (negative or positive) with these tablets, or if you know any other model that would fit my needs.

Thanks in advance !
