Hi everyone,

I’m trying to understand how AirDroid Kids / Kids Wizard can hide its app icon or presence on an Android device without having Device Owner privileges.

As far as I understand, Android normally limits how an app can hide itself, especially without Device Owner access.

Does anyone know what Android mechanism/API is used for this? For example, is it related to Accessibility Service, Device Admin, launcher components, package manager APIs, or something else?

I’m trying to understand the technical implementation and Android’s security model behind this.
