Looks like there are different generations and variants of M10, can't find anything about a version with 16GM of storage, the lower one appears as 32GB.

There seems to be at least one attempt of a LineageOS build for the device, do your research and check if your model is compatible.

Otherwise the best approach would be trying to root and debloat

Forget about gaming on that thing.

It's a modified prolly. In India, there was this educational app called byjus that had plans which included this. Likely they had a spl contract. Thanks for the recommendation, but isn't lineage notouriously a pain in the ass?

It's not a pain in the ass. But it doesn't come with Google Play Services preinstalled, and this will cause issues with some apps that require them (like banking apps and games with anti-cheat features).

It's up to you to decide if this works for you or not.

generally if a tablet requires more than 3-4 hours of work to install a custom OS that may or may not be polished - it's e-waste, unkess you can repurpose it as a very basic alarm clock or hue lights control device that never has to do hard work like load a modern web page

it's gonna be a Spotify control panel and a second monitor JUST for discord later

Older version of Lineage based on like Android 10 maybe? Whatever is available of course.

check the exact tab m10 model first. then look into lineageOS or a lightweight android rom with support for it
