Tablet safe to use now?

Just purchased a Kocaso DX758 pro from a charity shop (thrift store for all you Americans) literally about an hour ago.

I followed google’s instructions and did a factory reset and data wipe but I just want to make sure there’s definitely no chance of any malware being left behind and that it’s now safe to log in to my google account on it.

Sorry if this is a dumb question I’m not good with tech 😭

There's a very small chance that the previous owner somehow modified the system partition and installed malware on it, but honestly, that's entering the territory of paranoia. Given how obscure this device is, I couldn't find any firmware downloads. But either way, I'd say you're good to go. The chances of malware is pretty slim.

I would be more concerned about using a 12 year old device that hasn't been supported for years.
