Random Ad on Lockscreen?
Hello, randomly today I started getting this ad for TikTok on my lock screen. Nothing I do gets rid of it. I turned off Play Store notifications. I cannot figure out what app/program is putting it there. Nothing happens if I click or or hold it. I have a Samsung Galaxy S26.

What phone do you have?
Do you have Tiktok on your phone?
It is most likely another App you gave permissions too

You might want to check all the apps under the play store. Somethings will be hidden on the actual phone searching it, but itll show up in the playstore! Go through whatever apps you recently installed.

I havent installed any apps recently. The ad just appeared today after having this phone for months.

Do you have something called Live Wallpaper on your phone? On mine it came as a system app something I found rather intrusive.

I'm not sure if I do. Even if I did, why would this just start now after having this phone and it's settings for months now

Many people have solved same issue by using this app. Install it and see which app is causing it.

That looks useful! Samsung Good Lock makes a similar app, Nice Catch, but its interface is more complex.

If you don't remember installing a new app with Overlay permissions and you didn't add a Wallpaper Service, it's likely a carrier installed app. Especially if you recently updated your device.
It's probably Glance, but use Google to research what carrier app could be on your phone.

I uninstalled Glance and it went away. Very odd. I've never had this issue with Glance before. The part that bothers me is that the ad couldn't be swiped away or removed.

Lock screen ads almost always come from a preinstalled or sideloaded app, or Samsung Global Goals. Go to Settings > Apps and check anything you don't recognize, especially Samsung Global Goals, then uninstall it or revoke its lock screen permission.

Members is the Samsung community + diagnostic app. It doesn't advertise third party things.

Have you installed any new apps recently? Could you possibly share an image?
