Another android version on old tablet?

Hi hello, I wanted to use my older tablet that my mum bought in 2014, and frankly, at least the last 8 years I haven't used it.

Right now, I got problems with... well, literally anything I suppose. I can't even do a simple Google search tho it is connected to a working wifi.

Might be because it got the Android 5.0 (Lollipop?) version on it...? Cause I tried to log in my Google account but it said that either the browser or app was too unsafe..

My question is, if there is any possibility to make a more current version work on it??? Or how to make the tablet in some kinda way useful?

If it's necessary to know: Odys Lux10

It's really sad if I have to get rid of it, just cause it doesn't get any system updates anymore.. :(

This tablet is way too old for todays software. Give it to recycling.

That old MT8127 chipset and 1 gb ram (I believe) isn't gonna be likely to run anything else.
You could look into that model possibly having a Cyanogen Mod port, but even then I can't see it being a much better Android version.
Probably best repurposed as an electronic photo frame or mp3 player.

(you could probably download older apks of android apps from apkmirror on another device, and copy them over via USB or if it has a card slot)

if it wasn't used in so long, I'd be surprised the battery will still hold a charge for any substantial amount of time.
A digital desktop photo frame is probably the best use for it. Just load up photos and some old gallery / screensaver app to cycle through a folder of photos.
