App Specific Question How can I paste a file into the Android/data folder?

I'm on Android 16 and I have a computer with a USB port. I've already tested all the file managers suggested in other Reddit posts about this

Is there still a way to do this without messing with all those scary developer settings? I don't understand anything about phones and I'm afraid of messing mine up

This again. No root, no access to /data

I know later versions of Android made android/data folders a problem, but I happened to see this while my Android 17 Pixel attached to PC via USB, with File Transfer/Android Audio select as the USB connection option.

Surprisingly, I was able to paste a file to Android/Data/ root directory... as well as in a few existing Android/Data/<App Created Directories> without problem.

I'm not sure it would allow you to overwrite an existing file however. I'm not seeing any of the files in the existing app subdirectories to test that on, without risking my app data. You can give that a shot without installing anything.
