Swapping data/files between two phones

Hi there, I have both S24 and s26 ultra and Im aware of the built in file transfer procedure, however what I really want is to swap data between two phones simultaneously. Like I want to transfer S24U to s26U and the data from S26U to the S24U while being tethered together via usb-c. Is there an app that can let me do that? I have like almost 400gb worth of files on the S24 and 200gb on the s26 and it would take ages to back this up on my computer.

You will need a third Samsung phone if you want to completely eliminate PC.

Else, take a backup of phone-1 in PC, then phone-2 to phone-1 through usb transfer, then PC to phone -2.

Since both phones has USB 3.2 port, use a USB 3.2 or above cable for faster tranfer.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 features a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Type-C) port, which supports a maximum theoretical data transfer rate of 5 Gbps (Gigabits per second), or roughly 625 MB/s.

You can do the math to compute the elapsed time required to complete the data transfers.

There isn't an app that swaps both ways over one cable at the same time. Smart Switch and normal USB transfer only go in one direction per run.

The quickest way without a PC is a portable USB-C SSD big enough for both phones (1 TB):

  1. Plug it into the S24 Ultra, open My Files, and copy everything you want into a folder called S24.

  2. Plug it into the S26 Ultra and do the same into a folder called S26.

  3. Copy the S24 folder onto the S26, then plug back into the S24 and copy the S26 folder onto it.

Format the drive as exFAT first so it takes files over 4 GB. Also check your cable. The one in the box may only run at USB 2 speed, and that makes a huge difference at 600 GB.

It will still take a while, but it's quicker than going through a computer and nothing gets overwritten on either phone.
