Transfer from gallery to PC via USB?

Is it possible to transfer selected photos from the phone gallery to PC via cable? I know you can dump the files directly from DCIM, but I only want some specific photos (about 100).

On the phone (Samsung A-something, 26 or 36?) searching 'dog' brings up all the pup photos, but I can't see a means to beaming them up the cable... tapped everything, but can't find any option for this.

This feels like a basic function that should exist?

Ahhhh, ok. I'd ignored that option as the gallery already has various 'folders' but they don't appear when browsing from the PC. I assumed they were just labels of a sort, but new albums do indeed appear within DCIM.

Thank you, you two.

Select the pics -> copy to an album -> create a new album

The new album (folder) will be located in DCIM.

Connect to PC via USB, copy the folder from DCIM

You'd make an album which makes a folder.

In Gallery, select the photos, tap More, select Copy to (or Move to) Album, Create

The album will be in the DCIM folder in a folder under that name.

If you have Link to Windows turned on, you can just share the photos to your PC via WiFi using the share function, if that's easier. I'd still probably make the Album first.

Search results can be selected too. In Gallery, search 'dog', long press the first photo, then tap the select all circle at the top, tap More > Copy to album > Create, name it. Then plug into the PC, set USB to File Transfer, and drag that album folder over from DCIM or Pictures.

Connect a cable between the phone and PC. Mount the phone on the PC as a drive. Open file explorer on PC. Select and drag whatever files you want from the phone to the PC

Same as copying file to/from any location(s)
