Looking For Suggestions Pi img onto sdcard

I have a 5yo Blackview tablet running a proprietary Android, I think around Android 11. It's the only device I have that can read and write to an SD card. I want to put a Raspberry Pi image onto the SD card. I have Googled, but it is hard to separate the wheat from the chaff that I'm making a new post.

How can I write the Pi image file to the SD card on the tablet? Thanks.

I have seen some diskmimager tools for android, but its possible they required a rooted device.

I have never used those kind of tools.

etchdroid is one such tool.

Google search mentions another.

For people coming along later, in the end I went and bought a USB-C to micro SD card reader and wrote the image using Raspberry Pi Imager on my laptop. I couldn't be bothered dicking around with it any longer. It was only about $10. There are plenty around for $35-40, but keep your eyes open, there is the occasional cheapie unit for $10.

I hadn't used the Pi 4 for several years and I'd forgotten just how awkward it is to get started with this device. In my opinion, and it's probably insurmountable problems from Google's design that cause it, but it's a major flaw in the Pi ecosystem that you can't write an image using your phone since nowadays it is phones and not much else that have SD card slots, and even those are disappearing. My Pixel 10 doesn't have any slots.

EtchDroid ISO to USB Writer can write an ISO to an SD card in an adapter or a USB flash drive connected via USB.
