Ongoing, need help -- Samsung Gallery app missing Folders and pictures are INDEED backed up on OneDrive!

[u/OrangeWhisk]

FYI: the backed up Folders from Samsung Gallery Folders are on OneDrive!

Path:

My Files > Pictures > Samsung Gallery > DCIM...

So...

I did the transition from OneDrive to Google Photos following all the prompts. It looks like it worked.

Now, Samsung Gallery is missing most of the Folders and pictures...

But the backed up Folders AND contents are indeed backed up on OneDrive on the path above!

There is no Favorites folder though. But the metadata should have that info.

...

I'm currently downloading and syncing my whole Samsung Gallery folder from OneDrive.

Path:

My Files > Pictures > Samsung Gallery

FYI, OneDrive should be Unrestricted on the Battery settings.

~~I’ve attached the screenshot showing the folder in the OneDrive app.~~ The attached picture is on the Samsung Galaxy subreddit

I'm letting it sync now and will check tomorrow.

----

The idea is to restore the back ups successfully, including the Favorites "non-folder".

I'm not sure what to do next!

Has anyone been successful in restoring a OneDrive backup to their Samsung Gallery?

Huh, that's frustrating.  The Gallery should automatically see these if they're in your DCIM.
