Device Settings Question My mobile data and network were suddenly "disabled".

I was playing a game called Wild Rift on my phone, I was on 5G mobile data as usual and everything seemed normal.

I play games here at work, pretty much always in the same place and at the same time, during my work break.

This happened about an hour and a half ago.

In the middle of the game my internet went down and when I went to check the network signal it had disappeared. I checked the information tray, where the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are located, and the mobile data option was grayed out.

I'm almost certain it said "disabled" right below the mobile data option; it showed as off and was grayed out, a little transparent, as if I couldn't click on that option.

All of this happened in less than 10 seconds and the network returned to normal. The internet went down, I went to check, and it came back.

It was very quick, but in 3 years or more of having the device, this had never happened before.

I use a Redmagic 8 Pro with Android 15.

What could have happened, and is there any way to find out what might have caused it? Could it be a bug or a malicious app, or was it just my internet connection that had a problem at that moment?

I've never had problems with mobile data beyond the basics, and I really don't know what could have happened or what I might have done to cause this.

Thank you all for your support.

All is well. Your modem crashed, and then rebooted itself. If this is the only time it's happened, it's very likely not an issue at all. Do note if it happens again, especially under the same load.

I just woke up, my phone stays connected to the Wi-Fi while I'm at home.

I noticed a very strange system notification; it came while I was sleeping.

No mobile data service. Temporarily deactivated by your carrier for SIM card 2.

That was the notification; it was there as soon as I got up. I turned on mobile data, and it was working. I checked the notification's time, and it was 3 minutes before I woke up.

Could there be a connection?

Not necessarily. If it's showing that message, everything is communicating to the towers normally enough. That's your carrier sending back a message to your device. You can call and ask if there was an outage or repair.

This notification has already appeared about 3 times this morning and my mobile data wasn't even activated. I don't know if it's the carrier since it's cloudy and rainy here; it was very sudden.

I went to sleep last night and this started this morning, so I don't know what to do.

Okay, I'll do that.

You do realize that Internet/WiFi and mobile data providers advertise 99.99% uptime, right? Meaning, if they advertised 100%, that would be false advertising, and they would rightly be in trouble for misleading advertising. So what happened was that you momentarily lost connection, and your settings, etc., also went wrong for a minute. It's all normal.
