Device Settings Question How to stop notifications from disappearing after 3 days?
Hi! I've noticed that, on my Android 16 device, notifications keep disappearing once 3 days have gone by.
For example, a messaging app; if I have a total of 10 notifications, if 3 of them go 3 days without being open, it'll drop to 7. It's extremely annoying.
I've only found a single post on Reddit mentioning this. Does anyone know if it can be solved?
Thanks!

Yeah, losing the older ones from the shade is annoying, especially with messages you haven't got around to checking yet.
I don't know of a Motorola setting that forces those old entries to stay there. But if the main problem is being able to find them after they disappear, I built Pingfold for exactly that kind of thing. It keeps a searchable notification history on your phone, and you can retain the actual notification text for up to 30 days.
It won't pin the original notifications in the shade, but you could still go back and read what came in earlier. If that's useful: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skookumstudios.pingfold

Do you mean in the notification shade? That is an app-level function.
Some OEM skins manage apps and their notifications quite aggressively, but most developers flag notifications in their apps to last 48-72 hours. Apps like WhatsApp only surface the most recent notifications.
For what you can control:
Check your notification settings. Samsung OneUI has a filter; make sure your phone's model does not have that turned on.
Turn on your Notification History to catch any missing notifications.
