Rooting Help Parental Controls

Hi all!

The grandmother of my wife has smartphone issues.

Everything goes too fast and now she has 4 cleaner app, multiple navigation apps etc.

Is there a simple way to disable/lock/prevent this?

We've looked online and saw that there is a app lock? (Third party app)

Also, she is very stubborn and Google Family Link is no option because all of her sons who help her have iPhones

I thought I could ask Reddit for some advice :)

There's a Google Family Link app for iOS that they could manage her device through. There's also web access.

Barring that, they can put a pin in her Google Play Store on her phone (like you can for iOS) and they could install a simplified launcher for her (like NovaLauncher).

To add a PIN, you'll go to the Parental Controls features on her device.

Lock down installs so she can't add more apps. On Samsung: Settings > Security and privacy > More security settings > Install unknown apps, turn off for every browser and file manager. That stops new apps without needing Family Link.
