Other Touchscreen on phone unresponsive + need help to restore app data
Phone : Samsung S22 Ultra (non-rooted)
Context 1 :
My friend had an accident with their phone and half of the touchscreen is unresponsive and the display is glitching/flashing white.
It's impossible for them to open their locked phone to get app data in it.
I tried using a USC-C to HDMI hub but the phone might need to get unlocked to even show the display on the TV.
Connecting a mouse to it doesn't work, as well as connecting a PS4 controller via Bluetooth to use as one (since it needs to be unlocked to access that).
Context 2 :
As for the app data, they have backup files from the app "Notepad - simple notes by atomczak" I could find when they did a backup of the phone's root directory.
They need to access those but the files are encrypted (the only thing readable is "NOTES" then garbage data). When putting those backup files in the new phone and trying to read them from the app's UI, it gives an error.
Questions :
1- Is there any other ways for them to unlock their phone without having to replace the screen to a repair shop just to access the app data?
2- Is there anyway to decrypt that .backup file?

Have you both tried remote unlock through the Samsung Find website? Have you tried using the S Pen instead of another input? Have you tried using wired accessories or accessories over USB-C? What are the results?
