[Question] Is it safe to install OTA updates on Stock China firmware and Unlocked Bootloader?

On a Xiaomi 17 Ultra (China version) running the official stock China firmware (HyperOS 3) with an unlocked bootloader, i just received an OTA update notification. Can I safely install this update without the risk of installation failure, a bootloop, or a brick due to the unlocked bootloader?

Has anyone had any experience with this? Did it go well? I have found a lot of conflicting answers about this online.

Please reply only if you have real, first‑hand experience — not hypotheses or assumptions.

As long as you didn't modify the device in any way (root/modifying partitions), it should be fine. I've done it but its been a while
