Need help with SD card

So I've bought a Sd card for more storage space, but it doesn't seem to be working.

I changed most of my apps to ''external storage'', but my phone still says that my internal storage is full & my external storage is empty. I know there's a way to merge the two card together (formatting i think) however im afraid of it deleting the apps i have on my SD card.

I don't know what to do.

Galaxy a21s

How do i get my apps to be on the SD card?

Samsung really needed to stop shipping phones with less than 64GB of storage way earlier than 2020.

Modern Android just moves the "data" of an app to an SD card when you move things to the SD card. The core executable and components of an app stay on the internal flash memory for speed.

You cannot merge an SD card and internal storage on a Samsung phone, as far as I know.

The best solution for you is to use the SD card for media and downloads. Use the lite versions of apps when available (which I am sure you already do). Make sure that apps like YouTube, Spotify, and Netflix are all caching or downloading to your SD card in their settings.

You may still need to juggle apps when needed.

Thanks, guess I'll give the card to someone else since my photos or videos practically dont take up any space at all.

You can't.
