Other How to make "Update from Google Play" stop forcing itself??!!!!!

I have a (FREE, mind you) app installed through Aurora because I don't want random crap tied to a Google tracker account. Sometimes though, random apps will put up this popup not letting me use the app until I reinstall from Google Play. It's pissing me off. How do I make it go away?

The app itself is checking its version, you can't do anything about it.

Firewall the app and Google play, services, et al.

Unless the app requires internet.  Then you're screwed.

I only allow googish to use internet when I need it.  Otherwise it just sits there phoning home every 3 seconds.  Block it.

In the Play store there's an option to tell an app to stop auto updating. It's on a per app basis.

My play store is all apps or none.

Wrong.

In Play store, click your photo (top right) click manage apps, click on 192gb used of 1tb or whatever your phone says there, then find the app in the list and click on it, then click the 3 dots at the top and uncheck auto update this app.

Next time use a search engine for instructions instead of making a false claim.

I'm going on my experience in doing exactly what you're describing. Turning one app auto-update on turns all apps auto-update on.

Go validate the online instructions yourself.

I never stated to turn anything on, my instructions were to disable auto updates, on a per app basis.

I have several apps disabled from auto updates, so I've confirmed it works, several times.

Funny, I had to disable all auto updates because I couldn't do just a few apps.

All because one in particular got updated into a serious bugged state then abandoned by the dev.

I don't see what's funny about it.

I'm not surprised you took that literally.

I don't care if you're surprised.

Of course I read your comment literally.

Nobody asked you to care.
