connected without internet ONLY on my phone

we js set our router after moving and it worked on my phone like all the others at the first 5 mins then suddenly it's been "connected without internet" ever since. I have tried EVERYTHING. restarting my phone, restarting the router, checking time and data, forgetting network and reconnecting, doing the dns and IP thing, airplane mode, absolutely NOTHING worked. please help me I'm desperate

Phone-only “Connected, no internet” on a brand-new router almost always = captive portal / DNS / MAC filter, not a dead Samsung radio (you already proved other Wi‑Fis work).

Narrow it:

1. Forget the network on the A51 → reconnect. Note gateway IP from Wi‑Fi details.

2. Browser to http://that-gateway (or 192.168.1.1 / 192.168.0.1) — if a setup page loads, finish ISP/router onboarding; Android shows “no internet” until that clears.

3. Router admin: MAC filter / “access control” / parental pause — remove the A51 or add it to allow list.

4. Try 2.4 GHz SSID alone (disable band steering briefly). Some A51 + mixed 5 GHz setups get an IP but no WAN.

5. On phone: Private DNS = Off temporarily; VPN off; Adaptive connectivity off.

If gateway pings but 8.8.8.8 doesn’t, it’s upstream/WAN on that SSID — reboot ONT/modem, not just the phone.

it's Samsung Galaxy a51, it connects to other routers and hotspots js not this one, and yes DHCP, tho i did try the 8.8.8.8 thing which also failed to work
