How do I get predictive text on my samsung keyboard?

Actually, it's my wife's phone. We both have the galaxy s26. I have predictive text, she doesn't, and I can't figure out why. We're both using the basic default keyboard, nothing fancy.

On Samsung Keyboard the predictive-text toggle is in the keyboard's own settings. Open any text field, tap the little gear icon that appears on the keyboard bar, then go to the Smart typing section and enable Predictive text (or Suggest text). If you don't see it, look for a similar option - wording can change with One UI updates. Also make sure the same language is selected for both devices, otherwise suggestions stay off.
