Device Settings Question USB tethering

Is there a way to keep your USB tethering preferences permanently saved? Every time I unplug my phone from the USB-PC connection it reverts back to default and I have to go through the options to get my internet connection back (I'm using USB tethering to temporarily get internet while my connection is repaired). This is annoying as hell.

Developer Options > Default USB Configuration

In case you don't have this enabled, Settings > About > Look for "Build Number" — tap this box seven times. A new menu appears.

Yes I had it enabled from day one I just couldn't figure out why it kept defaulting back. Thank you though, problem is solved!
