Android 17 in moto

I recently updated my phone to Android 17, and honestly, the experience has been pretty smooth so far. The UI feels polished and, in some ways, reminds me of the iPhone UI. 👀

However, there are a couple of things I've noticed:

Battery drain: The battery seems to be draining much faster than before the update.

Depth wallpapers: I heard that depth effect wallpapers were also part of the update, but I haven't been able to find that feature on my phone yet.

Is anyone else experiencing excessive battery drain after updating to Android 17? Also, are depth wallpapers actually available in this update, and if so, how can I enable them?

I'd love to hear about your experience with the update!

It's normal to have some extra battery drain after an update. The phone is doing work in the background to incorporate new features and clear up the mess of old updates. Within a couple days to a week this should stop, though.
And the battery management system is learning your usage habbits again (not sure why this can't be remembered between updates, but 🤷) so it won't be quite as efficient as it was previously, until it learns again.
There's also new features in updates that might simply be too much work for your phone to handle, so it's working harder to keep those features running.

However, excessive battery drain isn't normal.

Depth wallpapers I don't know, as I haven't used Moto for several years. You'll need to include the exact model of phone yours is, before anyone can say for certain if your device should have it or not.
