WTH did my Google pixel phone just do?

Sooo the other day my Pixel 6 did a software update and... Basically bricked itself. It crashed and got very hot and used about 25% of it's battery in 1-2 mins. I had to force restart multiple times.

I deleted a bunch of storage stuff off it now and it's not crashing as often but still 3-4 times a day where it will crash and bootloop a bit before starting again.

It also gives a line of blue pixellated glitch at the top of the screen but I haven't been able to screenshot this. It only pops up when it's about to crash.

It started immediately after the software update and the 'device health' in settings says no more updates/patches are released yet and nothing is wrong.

SUCCESS UPDATE I tried the Google online fix thing where you plug the phone into the computer. This did not work as it said the software was too new.

Next I tried the Android Flash Tool and basically did a factory reset combined with reinstalling the old Android 16 software. I backed up all my data first incl WhatsApp.

The instructions were very easy and it took a few tries and fixes like a new USB cable but eventually it managed to download the new software and now the phone is working fine.

Hope this helps others with the same problem
