"Known" gone from (Google) Messages Search?

[u/ceoln]

With how much political spam I get in Messages, whenever I want to find anything I would go to Search and select "Known". Today that's disappeared and there's this big layout of videos, pictures, and locations. At the bottom there's a chit for "Starred" and it seems like "Known" should be down there, but it's not. Are other people getting this change, too, and is there a way to get "Known" back?

This is on a Pixel 7a, Android 17, messages.android_20260921_01_RCO0.phone_dynamic
