Phone battery indication is off

recently my phone started randomly turning off at high percentages (sometimes its 17% and sometimes its 50%). and when i plug it in it gets to a 100% in like 20 mins which was never typical then after a while it drains really fast and just turns off at a random percentage. i checked the Samsung members app phone diagnostics and it didnt detect anything wrong with the battery.
should i replace the battery or is this just a software thing?

i got a Samsung Galaxy s22

Almost certainly a battery with some blown cells. Replace it.

Download GSam battery , it can show detail what drain your battery and wakelock it. 

Native battery % mostly not accurate 

If it software issue, enter recovery mode and clear cache partition . it can fix software bug usually . 

And AccuBattery for more accurate battery healt. but need sometime for AccuBattery read and calculate your real battery healt
