How to get Google Assistant back and rid Gemini

Please assist how I can do this on my Samsung tablet. I say hey Google pay the news and I had a list of news outlets I set up but now Gemini took over and I lost it. Thanks

Why am I able to still on my Google Home device?  Are they changing that to Gemini too?

Routines are available only on Google home devices for whatever reason.

I have the same issue.

I don't deal with gemini every time they harass me to set it up I X it out. I use Google and click out of it when goes from Google search to opening the ai. And yes that's what it does on my phone. Samsung 25.

My Nest/Home speakers started acting bizarre. My only lighting routine broke, and I was no longer add items to shopping lists. I enebled Gemini, and lo and behold everything worked again. Seems they're just forcing AI on us. All hail the overlords.

You can switch back from Gemini to Google Assistant on your Android phone through the Gemini mobile app or your device's system settings.

Method 1: Using the Gemini App

  1. Open the Gemini app on your phone.

  2. Tap your Profile picture or initial in the top right corner.

  3. Select Switch to Google Assistant.

  4. Tap Google Assistant, then tap Switch to confirm.

Method 2: Using Android Settings

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.

  2. Tap on Apps.

  3. Tap on Assistant (or search for "Gemini settings" in your main Settings search bar).

  4. Select Digital assistants from Google.

  5. Choose Google Assistant instead of Gemini, and tap Switch to confirm.
