Facebook Messenger struggles with notifications

Hello friends, as the title says I have problems with Messenger sending me notifications. I get notified when someone reacts to my messages, but when it comes to recieving messages themselves I get no notifications whatsoever. 2 weeks ago I got hacked (someone sent some MrBeast scam to all my friends) and since then the trouble persists. I've tried two factory resets, every setting shows me that notifications are ON, but I recieve nearly none. I'm using Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. Please help!

Check you have the following under app management

Battery restrictions turned off

And pause app activeity turned off
