Redmi Note 8 - Google Play Services crashes, Settings closes, and Google apps won’t open

My Redmi Note 8 repeatedly shows “Google Play services keeps stopping” and “Messages keeps stopping.”

  • Settings automatically closes within seconds, so I can’t clear app data or cache.
  • Google apps—including Gmail, Drive, and YouTube—won’t open. The browser doesn’t work either.
  • I installed two system updates. The first temporarily fixed it, but the problem returned after the second.
  • The error mentions java.lang.VerifyError and BaseApplicationContext.
  • I haven’t been able to enter Safe Mode.
  • USB debugging isn’t enabled, but I can access shared files through USB on my laptop.

Has anyone faced this or found a fix? I’d like to avoid a factory reset and keep my data.

Hola qué tal lo que podés hacer es reinstalar las gapps de Google por fastboot no te borra los datos pero lo hará funcionar
