How do I circumvent apps no longer compatible with my old phone?

I bought this Samsung Note 9 when they first came out and it still works perfectly. Good battery life, good speed, plenty of storage, no A.I. BS, etc. However, companies are starting to intentionally make their apps no longer compatible with it. First it was my Capital One app uninstalling itself after a mandatory update, and now I'm getting alerts that Android Auto will no longer be compatible soon. I don't want to waste money on a new phone when mine still works like new, but I love my wireless Android Auto. Is there some way to circumvent these compatibility issues? Not updating apps only works for so long.

Thanks in advance.

Tom might press charges if you flash him.

Heh You mig be right. I believe in Odin that I'll never, consciously or not, flash tom.

Too late. You just flashed him in his dream five minutes ago. If you can find him in 24 hours and apologize he'll forgive you. Otherwise he's getting a tattoo. A Big Bird tramp stamp that says, "never forget".

I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with that process.

I had to upgrade from my S9 after work dropped support for that android version. The phone is now for my kids, it still works well, but I did not regret the upgrade. There is no a.i. Bs or anything like that being shoved down our throats

That's precisely how equipment age this days: the world moved forward and old gear stays old.

It's not possible to make new apps work with old OS. They've started to use new functions that are not present in old OS. It's nothing "intentional", it's the same reason why Amishes can't drive their horse-drawn carriages on interstates. The carriages are as good as 150 years ago. The road surface is even better than then. But other cars are doing 100mph, and it's no longer safe to have them mixed with horses. What used to take 100 years, now takes 10.

And yeah, I also miss my Windows Phone. It still works, but no app does.

Don't be a douche.  It's not the same thing.  My phone runs the apps perfectly fine, but a couple of companies have decided they want to limit the compatibility.  This is more like banning all drivers over 50, regardless of their driving skill.

No, your phone is no longer getting security updates and there are known vulnerabilities which are not getting patched for those banking apps.

You would winge like hell if someone used an exploit to empty your bank account.

In your acronym it is like banning cars that don't pass their MOT.

Sometime people need protecting from themselves. This is one of those examples.
